In high school we were down 2 points ,One second left. We were inbounding from sideline. Coach told our tall guy 6 foot 9 that we were going to try and make the shot from the inbounds play.All he had to do was direct/tap/dunk the ball through the hoop. Our out of bounds guy probably would have made the shot.Our center tipped the ball just as it was going through the hoop.
We lost in overtime though :(

This may be middle school in the 6th grade i was on the basketball team and i was bad the home game i played it was down by 0.2 and then suddenly then buzzer went off and shot it half court i prayed to god in those seconds and it counted

How does winning by one tenth of a one percent of the total score in the last second of a 2880 second game equate to winning when obviously it's entirely luck?? 65 years ago I refused to play basketball in school! Back then it was a foul to touch the rim or even bump another player. I preferred hockey and lacrosse where I could hit my opponents with a stick!!

Serious question..... When does the timer start to countdown after a free throw is taken? Because it seems like when there was 0.6 on the clock and the guy missed the free throw time freezed........ Surely he didn't get that shot off in 0.6 🤔 more like 2 seconds......
