I think that this is a french russian train version.
You would probably have to be a russian offshore to go there to go somewhere to see someone.
Even with money sometimes to get a car is not always worth it if you have to go somewhere.

Your Platzkart train is so much better than the best trains here. They got rid of the sleeping facilities years ago so people try and sleep in seats like on a plane. There is no hot water (what a good idea). Many years ago they had good restaurant cars on the trains but now it’s very basic….pizza, sandwiches, pasta….and also not cheap..
…..your country has made a sensible railway service …….

I rode the train from Moscow ( Pavelyetskaya station ) to Saratov in the '90s. The experience was great. I liked the old Soviet era trains but they are slow. The commodes dump onto the tracks and the attendant locks the lavatory door before entering a city. The compartments were clean and comfortable. And people share their food and drinks. I liked the tea and the tea cups provided by the attendants. Very professional. A great way to tour Russia.

About train toilets: its okay, tbh. I still have a very vivid memory of travelling to summer camp in 2009 and having to flush the toilet and it just... opened up. Into the outside. You could see the tracks moving from the toilet hole. And it also smelled.

So yeah.. plane-like modern toilets are much better than.. that. Even if they're noisy and scary.
