We love St Maarten, been a few times. Rent a car, drive around the island, go everywhere, enjoy the differences between the two sides. Orient Beach is amazing, expect some nudity... we stayed at Divi Beach and loved the area- did not mind the streets being fairly empty, but the impact from the hurricanes is still obvious.

Clothing optional beaches are fun on Orient beach.

When I was there they had a big sign that said " Nude beach ahead. So I went. When we got to the beach we just started walking and there it was.

Our go to place off the cruise ship is to take he water taxi over to Phillipsburg, and park ourselves right in front of the Holland House, they have a shower right next to the bar on the boardwalk that comes in handy to get the sand, and salt off when you're ready to eat!
