man ive been sitting here 5 fkn hours everytime i get past the face scan and get to transfer data it makes do an software update to ios17.1 and its been constantly reupdating every time it finshes thats as far as it wll go.

Slightly embarrassing , transferring from iPhone..."6" to iPhone 13 Pro Max . only because practically all my apps have stopped working on my IOS and the last straw was getting stranded when my Uber app wouldn't open when I needed a ride. Aloha. I just switched over the weekend from iPhone X to iPhone mini13 and the transition and using this method is very seamless. Just a reminder the iPhone 13 mini also comes with the eSIM so it will also automatically transfer whatever you have on your iPhone X SIM card. I have 95GB out of 256GB on my iPhone X so it took around 30 minutes to transfer the entire phone data to iPhone 13 mini. I still use the Finder as my source of backup. So after a couple of days on using the iPhone 13 mini I backed it up on my Mac. It's time for me to switch since I have iPhone X for almost 6 years and IOS 16 is the last upgrade and Apple offered me a decent trade in, it' s no brainer for me. Thanks for this video.

I never got the option to Transfer from iPhone.
Apple support couldn't answer why. I heard online that the new phone's ios must be updated, so I set it up temporarily, just to be able to update it. Then I reset the phone and started the setup again.
Still didn't get the option to Transfer from iPhone.

So this means that i cant follow this procedure transferring from my old iphone (6s, ios 15.7.5) to my (wannabe) new iphone (13, ios 15)??

Though I did really struggle at first, when I brought the two phones together I couldn't get the popup to setup new phone, then I realized the old phone had the bluetooth turned off 🤣. After that it was about 38 minutes to transfer from a 6S Plus to the 11 PRO. Thanks again.

Thanks for the info. Made transferring really easy. My old phone fell out of its Otter Box Defender belt clip (they were useless and didn’t stand behind their product) and broke the camera. I use it for work and only the back main camera will work on our app.

I'm going from iPhone 6s plus to iPhone 13 pro and it's Tracfone service, new SIM card coming. Do I install new SIM card turn on iPhone 13 pro and begin from start up screen ? Bc Tracfone will need new SIM card info even tho it came from them. All the whilst I'm on the old iPhone 6 s plus talking with Tracfone to transfer their data ? Can anyone take a stab at this ?? Do I do all of the Tracfone system info transferred first then Apple data ???? Help

It is never mentioned that you need to first turn on BlueTooth in your old device to get the "Set Up New iPhone message to pop up on your old device! Why do they not mention this? Seriously!

So I am upgrading from an Iphone 8 to an Iphone 11 pro and lets say like an idiot I canceled out of the set up process because it took like an hour to process and I thought it failed so I am wondering how can I start up the transfer process again? Do I have to erase my new phone entirely?

Wow … terrible … you’re showing how to delete everything and restore to factory on the ‘new’ phone using your old phone as the example … why are you showing how to do things when they have gone wrong when you haven’t even started the migration which you only start doing at 3.20 Classic example of how not to keep it simple.

Facebook the Lyft drive app etc. I know my iCloud storage is full but they share as much as needed I remember. Anyone know how I can troubleshoot this? I’m switching from an old 8+ to a new 13 iPhone
