How much RAM do you need for Monero mining? Is it 8Gb, 16Gb, 32 Gb?
ОтветитьAbout to pull the trigger on a nice CPU rig, great vid!
Ответить7900x mining Monero. 17860 h/s 145w total system power draw.
ОтветитьThis might be a stupid question but I'm new to all this. How did you get all that stuff connected to a keyboard/mouse/monitor?
ОтветитьAdd in the random x parameters from the xmrig config file so you can enable huge-pages-jit and 1GB pages
Ответитьplease can you create a rig for cpu thanks for your job
Ответитьthat's like more than 500 usd worth of equipment, making 1,5 usd a day, and when the hashrate will go up, you'll make even less than 1 usd a day.... also consider the space you need for each motherboard . gpu or asic mining still better
ОтветитьI bought a bunch of $10 dollar old gpus that dont take external power cable to plug into my cpu mining rigs so you dont need the extra cables and dont need to remove it and you can always plug a monitor into it if needed
ОтветитьIt’s work without gpu?
Ответитьyou got it with the 3900x you purchased!, you talk alot of crap. like listening to women with mania
ОтветитьAnd now pricing will go up cause mining is back on the menu .....
ОтветитьHi ..there i would like to start cpu mineing...but i cant affort a motherboard and cpu...right know was wondering if you have a motherboard and cpu that you dont use....to give away... please let me know. Thank you.
ОтветитьMake sure you get M.2 125 g is good. Run linux ubuntu. Set fan to full speed. I been running mine for 1 year straight. Power supply 500 watt is more than enough. Mine XCB now going live soon.. No hivos I have 15>>> 7950x 2- 7900x 2- 5900x 3-3900x 1-5950 waste of money.
ОтветитьI don’t know how close to a micro center you are but the inland m.2 would be great. Inexpensive for the lower size like 250gb
ОтветитьHi,
Do you consider the 3900x better than the 5900x?
Thanks 👍😎
things you can do further
1. just use USB flash drive and run it on hiveOS
2. if you're not gpu mining on the rig, should enable VGA/GPU ignore setting in the Bios, reboot and run cpu rig without gpu to save more on power consumption
CPU mining is way better than GPU mining at the moment. I have about 21 rigs deployed right now, 3900’s and up.
ОтветитьWelcome to the dark side.
Ответитьthe cooler came with the cpu lol
ОтветитьDon't use need to setting disable look for GPU? on mainboard? then you can take the GPU out
ОтветитьI hope you are mining with your 5950x when you aren’t producing.
ОтветитьFor simplicity purposes id probably stick with nicehash... not that hive is difficult, but i just find nicehash easier/faster for me to get going... love the rig... not bad for a first one... look forward to seeing more! 60c shouldn't be a problem.. my r5 3600 has a top temp of 90c before it throttles or shuts down.
ОтветитьI deal with cable management, I by throwing it away in a crawl space and forget about it.
Ответитьthe downside is with all the FOMO pay rate is tanking.
ОтветитьGreat video! Always good info - havent cpu mined since I turned off my monero rigs couple yrs ago but will have to put my 5900 and 5950 to work now!! I did a quick search but curious if anyone can point me to a cpu hashrate guide that is current?
Have a bunch of 5600Gs, 5700Gs and 11700k and 12700k - about 15-20 sitting around collecting dust and all with brand new motherboards I was going to sell but curious if its worth it to break those out after Im done with the 5900s.... is it reaching trying to find profit in those older cpus
bruh i heard that having a case is better cause it cools the cpu?
ОтветитьIf your gonna be building cpu rigs get yourself a non-powered card that way you don't have to attach cables that will be removed once rig is set up, This only applies to 3000 and 5000 series cpus as they don't have on board graphics.
These are the two m.2 ssd's I use for cpu rigs:
Netac NV3000 250GB SSD 250GB Internal NVMe SSD Solid State Drive M.2 2280mm PCIe3.0 3D NAND with Heat Sink
Patriot P300 M.2 PCIe Gen 3 x4 128GB Low-Power Consumption SSD
Downclock that 3900x to use less wattage/save power and your golden
ОтветитьLove the vids bro. You have came a loooonnnnggg way!! Keep it up as awlays.
Ответитьgigabyte bios is best. you can just type 36 enter for clock ratio.
vcore is under advanced voltages, or amd CBS/PBS. you definitely want to enter that as the VDD is still on auto, and appx 20w higher than it could be at that hashrate. I recently did a stream tweaking a 3900X for mining if curious.
turn off cool&quiet too.
XMP (and Im controvercial in saying this) should not be on. set mem to 2400mhz 1.2V. saves power and loses next to no hashrate. if you are pushing for highest hashrate power be damned XMP does then matter.
4G decoding not necessary for CPU rig
under 90c is fine for temp.
That is a lot of watts for that cpu ☝️
Ответить132WATTS your nuts 😂 and it's under clocked....take your volts off auto and set it to 1 maybe 1.065 volts and put your clock to 3900 you should get 13500h at 110w
ОтветитьIt's for the fan the wire and make sure you turn the little switch on the fan on high and the cables is a pain in the dick
Ответить
