STARTLING STATS FACTSHEET: Biden Administration on Track to Reach 10 Million Encounters Nationwide Before End of Fiscal Year

WASHINGTON, D.C. –– Today, the House Committee on Homeland Security released its April “Startling Stats” factsheet, outlining the April 2024 U.S Customs and Border Protection (CBP) border encounter data. According to CBP, Southwest border encounters exceeded 179,000 last month, and total nationwide encounters exceeded 247,000. The Biden administration is now on track to hit 10 million encounters at America’s borders nationwide well before the end of the fiscal year––showing the border crisis remains at catastrophic levels.

One of the most revealing statistics revealed by CBP was that encounters at Southwest border ports of entry in April 2024 grew nearly 100 percent compared to April 2021. This is evident through the number of appointments scheduled through the CBP One mass-parole scheme, which skyrocketed to more than 591,000 since January 2023. In addition, more than 434,000inadmissible aliens have arrived in the U.S. since the official launch of the CHNV mass-parole program, with the majority arriving through Florida, Texas, New York, and California airports—as DHS documents obtained by the Committee via subpoena showed.

It is clear that the Biden administration has used unlawful mass-parole programs to shift hundreds of thousands of inadmissible aliens to ports of entry for release into the interior, often with little or no vetting. The end result is the same—a continuing, historic border crisis.

As the influx at our Southwest border continues to overwhelm Border Patrol agents, Air and Marine Operations (AMO) agents, and CBP officers, our northern border is now experiencing a surge of illegal crossings, as well. Encounters at the northern border in April FY24 increased 1,240 percent compared to April of FY21. For the second month in a row, encounters along the busiest sector of the northern border, the Swanton Sector, hit their highest total on CBP record (1,470). In fact, in the final week of April, the Swanton Sector reported the apprehension of 220 illegal aliens — the highest number of weekly arrests on the sector’s record.

According to Border Patrol officials along the northern border, the majority of these are individuals attempting to evade apprehension, which differs from the Southwest border, where border sector chiefs told the Committee that large groups now turn themselves in to Border Patrol in the hopes of being released directly into the country. The vast majority of those crossing illegally along the northern border are single adults, raising concerns about the possible security threats posed by individuals who would forgo release into the United States with a court date.

Since President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas took office, there have been more than 9.5 million encounters nationwide and more than 7.8 million encounters at the Southwest border.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) recorded 247,837 encounters nationwide in April, including 179,725 at the Southwest border (SWB). SWB encounters increased 5% compared to April of Fiscal Year (FY) 2021. Additionally, nearly 2 million known gotaways have evaded U.S. Border Patrol under this administration.
Since January 2023, 591,000 individuals have scheduled appointments with the app.
Since the program began, 434,800 Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans have been mass paroled under the administration’s CHNV parole program.
Since FY21, 362 aliens on the terrorist watchlist have been caught crossing our Southwest border illegally.

Tens of thousands of illegal immigrants with sex offenses and homicide convictions are loose on the streets, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) data provided to lawmakers this week.

The agency provided data to Rep. Tony Gonzales, R-Texas, about national data for illegal immigrants with criminal charges or convictions. The data, as of July 2024, is broken down by those in detention, and those who are not in detention -- known as the non-detained docket. The non-detained docket includes illegal immigrants who have final orders of removal or are going through removal proceedings but are not detained in ICE custody. There are currently more than 7 million people on that docket.

The data says that, among those not in detention, there are 425,431 convicted criminals and 222,141 with pending criminal charges.

that it would rather influx its country with foreigners than provide its people with the
things they need to help maintain the survival and longevity of its society. For far to
long the US Gov has created and facilitated war and crime as a means to generate
income at the expense of destroying the lives of its own citizens. The whole US
society is predetermined and rigged to go in a certain direction that benefits the
criminals who run the country. While all of that is happening they influx their
country with new immigrants selling them their fake dreams of freedoms, the
same freedoms they deny their own citizens who are born and raised in the US.
They use their own citizens as prison fodder and or keep them poor so they can
stay rich. The migrants are sent in to help clean up the mess the US Gov created
against its own citizens who they turned into who they have become, enemies of
the state. The patriot act and others like it are an example because those 'laws'
are aimed against US citizens not foreign threats because there has never been
a serious threat to the country other than the one they rigged on 911 that produced
the results they needed to place all US citizens in a choke hold making them non
effective at having a say in their government. THIRTEEN is pushing the agenda
of the criminal elites who sponsor their programming.

Many New Yorkers are just pissed off and annoyed that people who have no stake in the city are being offered a “premium” experience while the everyday New Yorker struggles finding a home, eating, and living their own lives. When you see people being handed (not literally but figuratively) things that you could only dream or have worked forever for it’s difficult to empathize. Donald Trump and his counterparts run based on this divide because he knows that what gets people in his camp.

It's clear to me when we talk about immigration in NYC in the 21st Century. It's OK for those from European countries to come here anytime. Most people ARE NOT in agreement with the flood of illegal aliens. The city was settled by legal immigrants, not illegals. People who arrived with a visible means of support, with education, without a criminal record in the country they left. New Yorkers ARE NOT happy with what the city government is doing to the city. They are not happy with the crime. Not happy that the schools are catering to the children who cannot speak English to the detriment of their own children. Legal immigration is one thing, practically all Americans are for it. The "immigration via claiming asylum" that happened under Biden is being used as a loophole for immigrants to get in the door. This "crisis" was the product of loose border policy that Biden showed via executive order could be largely stopped.
