Miss, for question 5 for the description do we introduce a character and add dialogue? do we do first person for the description? what are all the types of atmosphere?

Can someone tell me how many marks I would get for this 1 paragraph out of 2 for the 8 marker language question. The writer uses language to convey me fishers views on books and stories of the past as exhilarating, this is seen in “when books were golden,when imaginations soared” the writer uses a simile to emphasis how books were filled with action-packed content that made Mr fisher feel as if he was swiftly flying in the air while reading it. The writer also uses the verb “soaring” to exemplify how free his imaginations were while reading the books from the past and the verb does this as it is used to describe how something like a bird could fly freely in the air but this time the writer uses it to represent how imaginations were when reading the books of the past. This therefore tells us that books of the past were exhilarating causing imaginations to move freely anywhere and making the reader feel a feeling of excitement

Does just agreeing for Q4 limit your marks?
Also, for a description, could you pretend the image given is a painting in a gallery, and describe the image, the gallery itself and maybe the memories conjoured in the mind of the observer?

How many pages should I write in question 6or7 in igcse edexcel english language paper 1

You mentioned that we could borrow some of the language from the story, but wouldn't that be plagiarism if we use the exact same words?

Will there be a question from the anthology

For the creative writing, if the prompt is something like "write a story where something unexpected happens" and you spend the whole 50 mins building up to the unexpected event but never actually answer the question properly because you ran outof time and couldnt finish the story would you lose marks? Would it be better to rush to the event instead of continuing any buildup if you are low on time?

Miss just add a range of punctuatuion!

Hi, Thank you for your videos, they have been supportive.

I forgot to include the language features in the explanation of my PEEL paragraphs for Q3 and Q4 for my Paper 1 Exam on Monday 5th June 2023 and I only included one language feature of Simile in Q2 for my explanation in my PEEL paragraph.

How many marks have I lost for these questions.

I did 2 PEEL Paragraphs for Q2 and Q3, and 4 PEEL Paragraphs for Q4.

I just about had time for Q5, I spend 10 mins writing my creative writing story and just about completed the beginning of my story and then ran out of time.
