Are you guys for real? Cs2 feels dogshit compared to cs, all pro players back this up. Movements are off, jumps are off, counterstafe are off, collisions with other players are ridiculous, and shooting just feels different I can’t say if for better or for worse but I preferred cs shooting. Don’t get me wrong this game is a great beta and not a fully developed game that took decades to polish

I'm so excited to try out the new sub tick rate system, seems infinitely better than even 128 tick. only thing I'm worried about is Shroud saying "any decent player will be tapping in CS 2", hope that's just a symptom of the beta and sprays are still the way.

CS1.3 apart from crazy bunnyhopping. But I liked the free jumping giving snipers a hard time. Sniping has slowly gotten buffed with slower movement and fatter models. Everyone has just become a good sniper now.

one of my main dislikes about cs2 is how they are trying to make it slow paste movement wise kinda like valorant. feel so sluggish compared to csgo, I still find valorant more enjoyable arguably harder as a game but my aim and movement in csgo feel SOOOO much better i feel like i CAN rely on my flick or clear double angles without it feeling so risky unlike valorant

They need to stop messing with movement, 1.6 movement was so amazing, just bring that back with the new look of cs2 and I think it would be the best fps imaginable. They'll never do that, but it would be soooo good.

it feels easier for the tickrate thing i guess,
in csgo it causes more errors than people thing in every match, they finally updated it so now it feels more fluid and true to what you see
this mixed with the possible lack of hackers in cs2 gives me hope in this game

Its just another great divide on the cs community... Feels like playing cod, reinventing the same game pretty much every year

I've got 9000 hours in CSGO, not sure how I feel about CS2. Watching the small clip at the end of this video, is just... The sounds are unbalanced. The colours are oddly bright. What's with the hud elements too, it's weird. Really really weird. And it's not like, oh wah, I have 9k hours I don't want change, it's just, this change is really weird. One thing you mentioned is that CSGO feels "free" with the movement. This is something that's come from the Quake/UT era of gaming. When BF/CoD started to pump out titles, many games geared towards a heavy feeling with movement, and I never liked it. I want to feel like I'm a camera moving around a map, rather than a 160kg dude with heavy backpacks.

if you have bad movement in CSGO, you will find it easier and more fun to play CS2.
Your aim will also improve.
CSGO's movement is very fluid, which naturally makes aiming a little bit more difficult.
CS2 is the exact opposite, the movement is limited which makes aiming more consistent (like in other games with limited movement: left 4 dead)

this seems more like some guy playing the game and showing some clips and less like a review. he didn't even say that the game being shown is cs go, not cs 2.

I'm guessing movement differences may be due to them revising the movement physics to use continuous math instead of discrete math (you can simulate any timestep between updates and get the same results when the timesteps sum to the same value). This is likely due to the subticks.
Alternatively if movement was made more sluggish, it may improve the feel of the weapons as it'd make others' movement more predictable - a tradeoff between shooting feel and movement feel.
I think it might be a combo but I'm leaning the former.
