Ben. ....Great video!!
ОтветитьI like your explanations. Hopefully you can show more slow mo videos to better explain the techniques. 🤙🏼
ОтветитьMakes sense for wider stance. I never thought about it, but it is actually the case!👍
Ответитьthis is the second time I watch this video, and the question that rises is this: does it matter what foot is in the back to turn right or left? If I turn left, my backfoot may be the right, correct? From watching you surfing it seems that sometimes your back foot is the right and you turn left... what matters is turning your chest to the direction you want to go?
Ответитьgreat information! thanks, Ben!
ОтветитьHey mate I'm 69, fit, sailed dingies all my life and I'm committable on a SUP, what board do I get to surf, Foamie of 8 to 9 or what do you think is the best combination, will be surfing at Crescent Head.
ОтветитьLove your tutorials at 74. I wish I had watched this video back in the summer of 1962. Same with cross stepping and of coarse, tippers. Thanks!
ОтветитьTears for Fears song is cool
ОтветитьNailed my first decent drop knee cutback today thanks to this vid, thanks again bro you are killing it!
I was putting back foot too far off the stringer, and trying to put all weight on back foot, but this vid showed the true way of keeping weight mostly forward and ball of back foot on the stringer!
Probaré tus consejos 🤙
ОтветитьGood stuff mate, your drop knees are buttery smooth so it's cool to hear what goes into it! The drop knee has always eluded me but excited to give your insight a try! Cheers
ОтветитьHi Ben,
Does it help to place your back toes to either side of the stringer with the drop knee turn? Specifically, on the side of the board in the direction your turning?
Some surfers raise their arms up when dropping a knee, like a ref's field goal gesture, is this overdoing the weight transfer? Thanks!
Can't wait to give drop knees another shot! Very helpful. I always wanted to hear you explain those drop knees where you really push the board out and straighten your back leg.
ОтветитьLook forward to trialing the safety drop knee first before learning to use the rail, super stylish Ben!
Ответитьfor beginners, get a board from local shaper(more expensive) or standard brands(torq/nsp/surftech)? Also should we go for noserider model or all rounders? Thanks a lot!
ОтветитьExcellent tutorial Ben thank you 🙏. Good luck with your WSL comp. Keep our fingers crossed for you 🤞
ОтветитьAlong with working with you, this is a great follow up on the drop knee turn, Ben! I appreciate your clarity and simple explanation. Looking forward to more and good luck in all your heats!
ОтветитьOmg Beno, I was literally just talking to my mate this morning about your drop-knee turns!!!!! So amazing to see this video! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge! Keep on shredding! Yewwww 🤙
