Once I have finally collected enough metal to make full  fur armor, a ballista, a metal shield, a shotgun, and a longneck rifle, I will be able to finally rescue my dinos who are being held hostage by Yutarannus and their carno minions!

Ok so, after 2 entire days to get the resources to build a ballista, and place it on a tower to be used againced the carnos allos yutaranus and other such nasty large carnivorous theropods, I have tested if I can clear the way with it and get past those guys once and for all. I have concluded that it is a great weapon againced these large beasts. So long as they are in point blank range. But once you are out of ammo with the ballista you might want to make due with a longer range weapon. Like a bow. Or a javelin.

Can I use any for taming

hmm well i think the good old training dummy is one of the buggiest things in all of ark tested it with a friend with gigas and rexes for example rex showed way to high damage while the giga showed way to low output we then tested it against 2 lvl 100 brontos the results were that the giga killed its target in 5 bites and the rex took 7 meaning the damage shown on the dummys is crap sorry to disappoint you. btw put 2 balistas on the back of a quetz have 1 dude flying it and 2 shooting ( never shoot into the direction of the quetzals head) and go hunt for titans (which will show you that the balista does a lot more damage than 200 i would say roughly 600-1000 per shot) one of the easiest ways and both on the back get extremely good xp for the Kill you can increase the efficiency of the xp earned by opening explorer notes and taking a broth of enlightenment before you go for the kill its also adviseable to wait for a times 2 weekend as your pretty much gonna lvl instantly for 1 kill unless your lvl 99 or sth like that (locate the titan first or your explorer note xp boost would probably run out before you get to kill it)

That’s sad for the ballista I wish it did more damage

Concept of the video is great and somewhat helpful, but the different materials have different damage resistances, thats why the wood got smashed by the the catapult and barely did anything to the stone. As for the cannon i think the dps would be correct, not 87k, as it most likely accounts for reload time
