Doctor thanks for sharing. My son is 3.5 years old. He is going to kindergarden when he is 1.5. He get 6 or 7 times croup in 1.5 years and doctor says its normal sometimes they gave us antibiotics, sometimes healed without medicines, he always has 39 degrees fever when he get croup. but i dont think it is normal as doctors say. When i searched the internet some scientific pediatric essays it says maybe can be underlying problems. İ am worry about that.

ОтветитьWhat is the treatment of this croup
ОтветитьSuper helpful, thank you
ОтветитьThank you for this video! I found it incredibly helpful. My 17 mo old just started with this cough last night throughout the middle of the night. It began two days ago as a cold. They have been miserable. I plan to call their doctor today to see if they can give them a check over. They've had a pretty high fever.
Ответитьthanks really helpful
ОтветитьThank you. My daughter was just diagnosed with this and I didn't believe the doctor because she looked and listened for like 2 mins but the examples that I listen to in this video did sound similar. So again thank you for helping put my mind at ease.
ОтветитьLooking up cough sounds as a grown adult trying to figure out while sick why my coughs sound like a velociraptor 😂😂
ОтветитьGreat explanation, thank you 🙏
ОтветитьI had croup when i was young, up until i was in year 7 (Australia), had it once every year, i got very scared of it, one year in winter I didn’t want to sleep because i would always have a attack after i wake. “Is throwing up a symptom, i always throw up late at night, early morning, throw up and have the attack”.
ОтветитьI never had croup as a child, twice as an adult.
ОтветитьWhen i was young i had it every year. The first time i had it i had to go to the hospital. I was just 4. Until i was 10 i got it every year. Every year a little less impactful.
I did not know what happend to me at the time. The only things i knew was the pain while breathing and talking and especially coughing. I knew the pain in my chest. I knew i was incredibly warm and i had to go outside sometime in the middle of the night. I knew i had to get a cold-warm shower and that i had to get breathing help with medicine. I knew my nightmares.
I wanted to know what it meant. And now i finally understand what happend to me. Thank you
Can adults have croup?
ОтветитьGood job 👏 Thank you dr
ОтветитьThank you for your videos. Often parents read symptoms and have absolutely no idea what that really means in practice. Having the examples makes all the difference.
ОтветитьWe are on week 3 of this cough. We didn't know what to do ,so we are sending him to the doctor's on Tuesday/ boxing day.
ОтветитьThank you it is helpful 😊

ОтветитьIf you could add in some teenager sounds that would be useful, as my 14year old boy has it and it’s a lot deeper sounding than the examples of young babies and children you shared.
ОтветитьGreat information! Thank you so much for taking the time to share.
ОтветитьAs a nurse, this was excellent.
ОтветитьThank you, this was very informative. My daughter is off to the GP, as shes coughing to much she's vomiting and cant always catch her breath. Its pretty scary, but good to know it will pass
ОтветитьMy 4 yo daughter woke in the night and sounded like she couldn’t breath it was the scariest experience ever I rang 999 crying and the ambulance came and gave her medication and said it was croup and she hasn’t suffered since thank god so scary xxx
ОтветитьReally well explained, and examples were super helpful
ОтветитьThanks for the info …. We just took our 3 yr old to hospital
ОтветитьAlways work backwards from risk. What triggers x minutes until emergency etc. People are making life and death decisions. Monitor for x and then make sure you are y minutes from emergency etc. Think backwards from worst cases.
ОтветитьThank you, I had to bring him in to his doctor for day 4 was referred to ER and they had to administer him steroid meds, they are monitoring him now and he’s slightly better now and more lively now.
ОтветитьI had this when I was 5 I woke up and was sick and afterwards had severe trouble breathing luckily my dad was able to get me to a hospital.
Scariest experience if my life. I actually thought I was going to die.
I feel sorry for anyone suffering from this
Thank you
