Why you not try to canon camera?
ОтветитьI use this lens on Nikon DSLR, Nikon Z mount bodies and Micro 4/3 bodies too with adapters. To get a high Keeper Rate with these f0'95 lenses your camera will have to be on sticks (Tripod) and trigger the shutter with a wireless shutter release (phone app or Bluetooth remote). All because of the RAZOR THIN depth of field at f0.95. Field Plant shots will require cardboards to block any wind movement. Ultra high shutter speeds are possible with Daylight images. At f2.8 and up, the lens becomes a standard landscape crispy contrast and sharp 50mm lens with good color rendition. I use a deep rubber lens hood instead of the enclosed hood that the lens came with. This blocks out any side light hitting the front element. For video, the compendium shade will also do the trick. A Fantastic Optic for portrait work! Just aim at your subject's eye, and I do mean just one eye at a time! I started photography with manual focus lenses so using this lens was NOT an issue. The youngsters who grew up with Auto focus lenses will have to learn to manual focus and acquire the hand-eye coordination. Along with Macro lenses, these f0.95 lenses will NOT work with Auto Focus because only a HUMAN BRAIN TO EYE link can choose the IN-FOCUS area that you choose to capture. Hand holding these f0.95 lenses wide open will always be a hit and miss affair. Do NOT worry about the softer focus at the image edges. Who really looks at the edges anyway? The main subject is what matters. For a deep focus shot, just stop down the lens. A Wonderful LOW LIGHT optic too. At f1.2 - F2 the lens can be used hand held or with a monopod in dark rooms. To capture moving water wide open, an ND filter will be needed. Keep these issues in mind when using these f0.95 lenses. And your keeper rate will be very good.
ОтветитьWhat happens if you put this bad boy on a speedbooster? Does it make it a F/-0.05 lens?
ОтветитьAre you sure that you haven't spoiied the corner performance by testing it on a Sony A7 , which has a thicker sensor stack than a Canon DSLR ? The lens was design and is sold for Canon, not Sony.
ОтветитьI have this on my X-T30 II and has it all. The bokeh, sharpness, and much more. It's crazy sharp 2.8 and higher. I wasn't expecting so many details with contrast when I shot buildings and landscapes.
ОтветитьCould you review the new cine version t1.0 of this lens
ОтветитьYikes. Good effort by Mitakon to beat out the Canon 50mm f1.0 – but this lens is an absolute train wreck.
ОтветитьThe thumbnail on this video made me think you shattered the back element in some freak accident.
Ответитьsorry but this is not the brightest by any mean ,,,, the real light gathering ability it seems to be near T1.4 ....
ОтветитьReally hoping it works well with a Canon EOS 90D
"While not completely breaking the bank"
My bank: Here we go again with this idiot...
Hi... thanks for all your reviews.... if possible ask Venus optics for a test lens.....Argus 33mm Apo F0.95... that would be a good optijn for a new video...
ОтветитьOh wow... this thing is pure ass.
ОтветитьSpeedboost it and put it on a m43 camera haha. You get rid of those nasty corners, and you get a 32mm f0.6 something lens. Madness
ОтветитьCould you tell me if the lens is viable to use with a speed booster on an asp-c camera? it would be nice to know how this affects image quality.
ОтветитьIt's Cyberpunk 2077 style lens - you get that special chromatic abberation filter at the edges...
ОтветитьI thought this lens was designed for low light, giving f.0.95. All this emphasis on bokeh bothers me.
ОтветитьWhere can I buy it? I can't find it anywhere
ОтветитьFunny thing is : they did update this lens : now the aperture ring has clicks (only at full stops) and the bokeh has been greatly improved by removing that strange metal arround the mount obstructing the back of the lens.
My copy is above serial 200.
I see that the mount on this lens interferes in some weird way with the bokeh. I see an outline of a part of the mount in the bokeh circles. I'm curious what the lens actually is when it comes to real optical performance. Minus the mount flange.
ОтветитьHow to get that?
ОтветитьThe product photos on the ZYOptics website dont show that protective cover on the lens mount. Curious. does anyone have any info on that?
ОтветитьIn my opinion, for a lens made mainly for bokeh, I don't think you are going to want sharp edges
ОтветитьIt seems they change the glass on the mount on the new version,is just glass all around
ОтветитьDoes anybody own this lens? Ordered one from the manufacturer’s website and the aperture doesn’t open past f1/8 😫. Any idea how to fix?
ОтветитьThe Canon 50mm 1.0 was and is the fastest autofocus DSLR lens but it never held the title for the fastest DSLR lens period.
ОтветитьFor those interested: the largest aperture the Metabones Speedbooster 0.71x accepts seems to be f/1.26, and the largest output aperture is f/0.90. So you can mount this lens on a speedbooster, but it won't read as a f/0.75 (or something) on the camera. Perhaps the bokeh will be that equivalent, or perhaps the physical limitations of the Metabones itself will limit the amount of blur. It's worth testing.
ОтветитьI wanna see this with a speedbooster adapter on an aps c, particularly fuji
ОтветитьI see the version that's on the market has circular rear mount, unlike in this video. Also, without focus peaking, it would be very hard to use this at 0.95
ОтветитьDecent quality of corners at f/0.95 can't be affordable with the current technology of optics. However for many that isn't really necessary because corners are out of focus with most portraits.
On the other hand a professional lens should be good from corner to corner. Everything else is cutting corners for a low price.
The full frame Nikon NIKKOR Z 58mm f/0.95 S Noct of 8.000$ and the full frame Leica Noctilux-M 50mm f/0.95 ASPH of 12.000$ have a high price for a reason.
The don't cheat anyone they worth their money.
How many millions does it cost???
ОтветитьHi my friend.
I see this landscape in several of your videos, and I was curious to know what this place is called.
I was waiting to hear 'Very sharp in the center, reasonable corners and decent bokeh on Micro four-thirds...'
ОтветитьThe bubble bokeh of the Mitakon is terrible.
I would take the Canon 8 days a week.
another junky lens from china
ОтветитьIs there any way to test the TTartisan 50 0.95?
ОтветитьBeautiful looking lens but image quality is very poor. Sigma Art really spoiled me
ОтветитьAperture shape when stopping down is awful, imho.
Ответитьwonder if you put this beast into a APSC E mount with speedbooster, that would be interesting
ОтветитьDiffraction is mostly affecting the middle of the image. Panorama photographers sometimes sacrifice center sharpness shoot at f11 to make sure the corners are sharp enough for stitching the images together.
ОтветитьDon’t forget that you can use EF glass on film cameras too.
Ответить96% of the time bokeh ruins pictures. "more than twice as out of focus" as if that's good. 😅 I truly don't understand the fascination with bokeh.
ОтветитьIs it good for APS-C Camera Like 90D ?
ОтветитьAll I see when looking at pictures from this lense is that I need a pair of glasses cause everythings blurry
ОтветитьThe Toneh would make Tony N go crazy with this lens.
ОтветитьThis lens is pointless. To pay all that money, carry all that weight, only to get terrible performance, and no auto focus. The f0.95 is not even usable. What is the point? I can think better things to do with $800.
