I love the brick effect. I prefer a mitred corner, but this way suits this project. The only thing I'd do differently is to use an even more invisible stitch I use for QAYG, which is probably known better as a ladder stitch.
ОтветитьBuenas tardes me pueden ayudar con las medidas gracias
ОтветитьI have just looked and I am afraid that Daisy and Grace do not have these templates on their site.
ОтветитьVery pretty work! I cant wait to give this a try!
ОтветитьThank You, and yes thank you for using black thread. I thinking of trying to use some pre-cut for the intern brick. Like a jelly Roll or a charm pack. How do you figure the yardage for the front and back? Thank You! Love your work!
ОтветитьThank you for sharing this. Great skill and technique!
ОтветитьLove this! Wish rectangles were available in US
ОтветитьWhen burying the knot, instead of cutting the tail, I put my needle under and catch the tail and turn the needle so that the whole tail goes under too. Helps to keep the knot secure if the end of the thread is longer.
ОтветитьI came over here from your TikTok videos. I love this pattern! I hope they ship to the US!
ОтветитьI received my templates and was surprised how quickly they came considering shipping was to the US. The templates are high quality! I chose Kona cotton for the backing and batiks for the front.
ОтветитьI'm going to try this!! Thank you for showing this technique and pattern. Could you quilt and applique at the same time?
ОтветитьWhere can I purchase these templates. I’m from the states can’t find them anywhere.
ОтветитьGreat tutorial! Really enjoyed how clear you instructed us.
ОтветитьI really like this tutorial….I’m picking out my pieces to start one. Can’t wait to get started.
ОтветитьThank you Rachael, template ordered😄. Is it a good idea to keep all the bricks the same way up?
ОтветитьI am not a quilter and I do not care for the design of a lot of quilts - I prefer the look of simple patchwork quilts. This rectangle/brick layout design I love! Your demonstration was clear and well done.
ОтветитьCould anyone please advise where in the USA to purchase these templates ~ I would love to make this quilt but paying $21.00 for shipping is quite a bit out of my price range ~ any help and/or suggestions will be GREATLY appreciated!!! Thanks in advance.
ОтветитьCan't seem to find ur esty store. Where can fi.d the templates
Ответитьmy friends and I have been looking for the 2 1/2 in.square and the five x 2 1/2 inch rectangle to do your lovely pieces to make a quilt . We are going to do it in our next club which is about 25 people and we researched the price of these and they are just crazy. When the only place we could find to get them was on the Daisy site from the UK and the shipping for each of us is $21 so we’re going to wait but thanks- we all thought it was such a great idea. It’s so too bad that someone hasn’t picked them up to a Canadian or USA shop.
ОтветитьI have a bunch of soft-colored fabrics from Moda, and I think this would be a pretty way to make a quilt without much contrast but still create visual interest. Thanks for a great tutorial.🎉
ОтветитьI cannot find the template!!
ОтветитьBeautiful! What fabric line(s) did you use please?
ОтветитьCoul you use calico backjng Ido like your tutorial ❤p
ОтветитьThis is beautiful! I wish I could learn this. One at a time like as in one day at a time until you have enough for a blanket. You have the perfect assortment of prints too. You must be an artist. New subscriber here liking and commenting ❤😊
ОтветитьCute project, great tutorial. I am new to your posting and enjoyed it very much.
ОтветитьHave you considered glue basting. It would totally avoid fabric slipping. 💖🌞🌵😷
ОтветитьBeautiful work Rachel, you are an inspiration! What a great way to use up my scraps!
ОтветитьHello, I can’t find the 5x 2 1/2 “ template, daisy & grace doesn’t ship to US? Anywhere else I can buy it?
ОтветитьI've not seen anything quite like this before. Thanks for sharing your technique. I LOVE your pins. What are they called? or where do you get them?
ОтветитьSo lovely. Makes me want to try hand quilting. TY.
ОтветитьHow do I order the template???
ОтветитьThanks Rachel- I love this so much. I'd like to purchase the templates that you use, but I see that there are a lot of choices. Which ones would I buy please ??
ОтветитьLove this Rachel thanks so much for sharing 😍
ОтветитьWhat about mitering the corners? Extra work, I know, but wouldn’t it be so much neater?
ОтветитьMuchas gracias ,me encantaria ver su manta terminada .
Deseando poner en práctica su tutorial 😊
Where can you buy the template for the brick pattern. The rectangle with the opening for printed fabric. Looked on Missouri Star and couldn’t find. Guess I could just cut the fabrics.
ОтветитьJust ordered my templates... I've been planning this quilt and excited to start it.
ОтветитьThe only templates I see are for squares are there templates for the rectangles? And if so where can they be purchase? Thanks.
ОтветитьIt seems like a whip stitch is used to connect the bricks. Does that hold up?
ОтветитьInstead of pinning the layers a dab from a glue stick will keep the fabric from shifting. I use pins and fabric safe glue together and am very pleased with the results.
ОтветитьThank you 🦋
ОтветитьWith all the hand sewing you do, do you ever have painful joints and how do you manage? Thank you.
ОтветитьThis is a great project when travelling.
ОтветитьWait—I’m confused about which stitches go all the way to the back and which ones just go through the top and wadding…I missed the transition🤔
ОтветитьI'm so glad you are posting more videos. I love your channel. Great project. Thanks for showing us how to do this brick EPP. It's GORGEOUS ❣❣ 🥰
ОтветитьThankyou for sharing this method, I've never seen it before, I'm excited to use it.
I thought that everything was in focus & yr so neat, beautiful work 😊
Lovely instruction video...and what beautiful pins those are !
ОтветитьI have always wanted to try quilting but I have limited space for laying out big projects. This is a perfect technique for me to try and make and attach one block at a time. Also, I have never been good at sewing even though I do other kinds of needlework, but your tutorial is so clear and simple that I am sure it won’t take me long to get a handle on it. I’m so excited to finally be able to quilt! And the brick layout is so beautiful!! Thanks so much for this video!!❤❤❤
ОтветитьGreat tutorial 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 thanks for sharing 😁
ОтветитьVery good tutorial. Beautiful work! What a gorgeous blanket.
