One of the most beautiful panaromic summit views. Amazing how you can see the town, meadows and lakes from above. Breathtaking!!!
ОтветитьI have always wanted to climb the Murderhorn.
Instead, I chose k4! 😉
Climbing up the front door step is as high as I wanna go.
Ответитьand to think the summit of Everest is almost double this height
ОтветитьLa folie des alpinistes en Suisse : accéder au sommet du Matterhorn !
ОтветитьI would love to just go to the hut and not climb the peak itself, I wonder if you can do that. Maybe it's just for people going all the way up.
ОтветитьNever knew eidelweiss looked like that.
ОтветитьI know nothing about mountain climbing... One thing I will say, Climbers are the bravest of the brave...
ОтветитьI think the Matterhorn is the best looking peak out there. It looks so absolutely intimidating yet beautiful!
ОтветитьPraises to the camera person! They go ahead to film the crew but they are not usually given credit for their skills!
ОтветитьOne very excellently done superb video; Thank You!
As for the mountain[s] they are for me "best_distance"!!___ 😉
How much RAPPELLING is possible on the descent? (I am a rappell fan)😀
ОтветитьI climbed it once. It was total thrill and surreal experience. I will never forget it.
ОтветитьThe descent?
Ответитьoutstanding documentary !
ОтветитьThe narration makes this video unbearable to watch.
ОтветитьThe most extraordinary thing to me, is to watch the tourists come down the street, hit that point on the bridge, or down by what used to be the Rolex store, and they stop, mouths open, eyes wide, ands if they had cartoon bubbles over their heads, they'd all read the same: "holy s**t, it's real! It really does look like that!" Yeah, it does.
ОтветитьCan someone tell me why people climb mountains in the dark, please? It seems to me one would need to have good vision of the rock, or snow.
ОтветитьWhat's in a name, David Snow? 🐾🐾
Ответить🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵
ОтветитьBeen there last week basecamp of Matterhorn, Crazy how nice Hermatt is as a city, no cars, only electric small golfcarts how I call them, place is absolute stunning like taken straight from picture. I will be coming back there in Winter 100%, to do some light skiing and see Hermatt in winter time, will be surreal, thats where Santa lives I think :D magical place cant even put on a scale out of 10.
ОтветитьI rode a moped up the matterhorn in 86.
ОтветитьThe japanese clients are aclimated because of climbing the Breithorn!?! Most dumb documentory of the Matterhorn and poor job by Discovery
ОтветитьI skied down the Matterhorn once
ОтветитьMethinks one must be '5 cards shy of a full deck' to be a mountaineer, but if i ever had the notion to climb a mountain---it would be The Matterhorn. It`s gotta be the MOST classic of them all.....
ОтветитьAbsolutely magnificent 🙂🙂
ОтветитьYea, right, but I want to see the descent!
ОтветитьThat town has to be an avalanche magnet
ОтветитьOf course there is a McDonald's there
Ответитьwhen i went up there it was really cool.. i paraglided down though..
ОтветитьThat shepherd dude is living the ideal life
ОтветитьAh yes my favorite chocolate toblerone
ОтветитьWhimper is getting too much credit I don't know why the guide's aren't being talked about by name whimper doesn't deserve that he was dirty dealing.
ОтветитьI always wonder about the people filming these things. Who keeps them safe?
ОтветитьHorrifying
ОтветитьI would rather sit comfortably with a coffee and watch and applaud the experts climb.
Ответить43 min to the summit and 0 minutes to go down. Never forget the descent, the hardest and most challenging Part of every ascent.
Ответить12000 feet is easy to get acclimated to. It just takes a a few days of camping at 10000 feet and going up to 12000 during the day. 2 days and you are acclimated, 3 days of hiking and a rest , and 12000 feet is like you were at sea level.
Its when you get to 14000 feet that things can become more complicated, and you are risking altitude sickness if you don't acclimate ahead of time. Folks who travel from roughly 5000 feet to 14000 feet on pikes peek, can experience headaches, shortness of breath, and nausea/throwing up. But 12000 feet aint so bad.
These folks make it sound like a big deal. Folks can survive year round at 12000 feet, but only himalayin and pakistan high altitude folks can live higher year round.
The alps are the most beautiful range
ОтветитьIt’s not even that hard of a climb…I took a bobsled all over that Mountain…took only about a minute to summit but the queue was over an hour to ascend…watch out for Sasquatch he tries to get you in the middle and at the top of the Mountain. Enjoy!!! Also legend has it there is a basketball court hidden somewhere in the Mountain…I didn’t find it though. 😢
ОтветитьBreathtaking!!
ОтветитьI only climb into my bed, that’s it, a guy used to say, so am I!
ОтветитьTo see how moved he is, even though he's been there 70 times. It is true love.
ОтветитьIt is worth every second, to watch this, Ladies and Gentlemen :)
Thanks a lot !
P.S. Simon is so great...

ОтветитьThanks for a fine upload.
ОтветитьIt made my palms sweaty just watching this lol.
