I watched this match & i was annoyed with Ronnies play as if he'd given up but little did i know he had a game plan not to get get bogged down & attack Selby 😮

I’ve only ever seen highlights of 147 breaks, I always thought the black was the only ball that was reset after being potted.

What many forget is that Mark Selby and Ronnie O'Sullivan took 8 world titles the last 11 years. Only Stuart Bingham, Mark Williams and Judd Trump could win it. Otherwise the winner was always Mark or Ronnie.

Is this not the best safety exchange in the history of snooker? A rocket powering through solid granite in order to reach a world final? The crowds would've gone ballistic.

For me Ronnie's shot to snooker Selby from being in a great snooker by Selby is one of the all time best shots... I remember watching at the time and thinking he'd just slam it because he got down so quickly to play the shot, and instead he laid a snooker that won him the match. Absolute goosebumps

This may be the crowning achievement of O'Sullivan's career. To win in the deciding frame in a Crucible semi-final when looking dead and buried, against a fellow all-time great who had repeatedly beaten him in big matches, often when well behind in the match himself was a huge achievement and put to right many past wrongs.

Without an audience there, these two semi finals lost something even though they were the greatest ever. The atmosphère would have been stupendous !

I remember watching this and as an O’Sullivan fan I was pissed off with him and the way he was playing. He had given up and was taking on anything and trying to just smash his way out of safeties but then he goes bang bang, two centuries, I think one was a 137 total clearance and does enough to win the last frame. Smokes Wilson in the final, World Championship no. 6 thanks for coming.

Selby was having difficult times with depression. He is a strong character but when it comes to psychology which is eating from inside. Selby normally would not give that away under the normal circumstances, he deseved the match but… What can you say its Ronnie O’sullivan. Respect. (Whatever you say you must admire 4 times world champ Mark Selby, Winner)

Thanks to Selby, instead of being remembered as one of the greatest matches of all time, this will always most be remembered for his bitter comments afterwards that tainted his part in it. Hope some day he'll disown those comments.
