such fantastic memories.... I camped out over night and was one of the first 5 people to get in.... It was my celebration of "short-timers-attitude" since my tour of duty with the military was finished. <3 <3 <3 <3

I saw this on swedish TV and remember that the sound and sound mix was exelent for live tv at the time, still is! Still have the abracadabra album that i bought after had seen this.

This version of "Buffalo's serenade" has been a favourite of mine since that very day in 1983. Miller's "Take six!" was meant for the crew; they could take a six minute break to listen to this performance. 🙂
RIP Phillip 'Norton Buffalo' Jackson (1951-2009).

I was 17 and had a complicated jaw operation that day. I was in a lot of pain and threw up, but I wanted to watch the concert on TV. I even recorded the radio broadcast on a music cassette. I listened to it 1,000,000 times, and I must have had to stick the tape in the cassette 10 times :-) This particular performance by the Steve Miller Band has stayed with me my whole life, despite the occasional sound problems they had. Greetings from Germany!

This version of "Out of the NIght" is radically different (and superior) to the studio version off of Italian X-Rays. Great show
