Finally! Here we enter the Slig Barracks, one of the most unforgiving and entertaining areas of the game. The game tries its best to catch us out when we least expect it in this area and often we have to hide behind sandbags or targets to prevent being shot. This certainly makes rescuing Mudokons more interesting. I'm actually going to make this description fairly detailed and give an enhanced run down of the blocks.

Block 1

The rifle range can be frustrating if you're not aware of a handy tip; always move when the Sligs in the background are facing away from Abe in the foreground. With that in mind we can advance to the bomb dispenser, which will surely assist us in a few screens. On the screen with the bird portal is a security orb, which means we can't chant to rescue the Mudokons without taking care of that first. It's important we move them out the way in case the bomb takes a rogue course and lands on top of them. Do this with care so the Sligs in the background don't shoot them.

A good tip to remember is; even if a Mudokon is exposed, he won't be shot at, as long as he's working. As you can see at 07:23 I poorly aimed the grenade and had to reload (it's far quicker than risking it and getting another bomb). Once the security orb is taken out we can chant to get rid of the Sligs in the background. I chose here to go and get the last three before rescuing them all. Once they have all been saved, block 1 is complete and we reappear at the main hub.

Block 2

The worker camps are my favourite block. Who doesn't like flying mines? This is also probably the easiest of the four blocks. Recue the first modukon on the way down to the bottom. To rescue the next Mudokon we have to deactivate some mines. There is a simple on/off pattern to make things easier. Advancing on through the door to the left is a sleeping Slig, who will get that bomb out the way for us so we can enter a secret area! This secret is very simple, chant while the Slig is walking away from Abe and he will get in a panic and, for some reason, run off the edge. Then we can just jump along to the next screen and rescue these two Mudokons.

We are almost at the end of the block now, at 13:05 deactivate the mines, pull the lever and slap the Mudokons. We don't want them running off the lift. After navigating to the top we meet up with a 3rd Mudokon and can get the first Shyrkull of the game! We can now destroy the obstructions on the final screen with ease and return to the main hub.

Block 3

Next up is the Slig bunks, which is a long affair. After some initial exploring, we can see that this place is riddled with Sligs, however some of them are sleeping without their gear, which we can surely take advantage of. First off is to zap the Sligs that are sleeping to the left so they can't get their pants and start shooting at us. Next we can possess the remaining Slig to unlock the voice lock to the right....and take out some more Sligs. Remember to open the all valves' in this level otherwise we can't rescue all the Mudokons. Moving on, we can obtain a flying Slig to unlock the voice lock at the top of that area, but don't blow him up yet, travel back to the start and go up to destroy the Sligs and security orbs along the way. Once that's taken care of we can dispose of the flying Slig.

What we can now do is rescue the Mudokons in suites A and B. These are fairly easy. Next we can't yet access suites C and D so we need to head up to the very top and head left. Careful to avoid the roaming Slig on the right, which I fall victim to later. We need to be very stealthy in how we get the bomb from the dispenser, so as to not rouse the suspicion of the Slig to the left. Once we have a bomb, hurl it across the screen. This will clear up the top level for us to move around more freely. Take out the two Sligs on the bottom with a well aimed grenade launch and unlock suite C. We need a few more grenades to take out some Sligs that are loitering the valve to suite D. After they're taken care off we can rescue the final Mudokons and go back to the hub.
