Vista and 8 unspoken heroes fr 🫡
Ответитьshould've kept windows 7 till windows 10 was ready. I liked windows 8, it gave its DNA to windows 10 and 11, but it's execution was not great
ОтветитьHi! Thank you for your video!
Regarding Apps: Apps have no place in Windows, it should have been normal programs only. What are the benefits of apps in Windows for the user, or in other desktop-OS for that matter?
Regarding Win 8: I don´t like to be "told" that I don´t need a start meny. So I never installed any version of Win 8. I stuck with Windows 7. For the same reason I will never install Windows 11, a bloatware OS with the startmeny "forced" to be in the middle of the screen. Or was it the taskbar that couldn’t be moved? I don’t rember.
Users simply don´t need to be told where they want the icons or start meny to be. Users know this for them self. The start meny should be able to be put in the middle of the screen if one wished. Without installing/buying third party programs.
I also don’t care, at all, about MS Bing, Edge, Onedrive or all the other ”services” I’m being told that I ”need”.
I also never listen to marketing from companies when trademark-names or logos are changed, when they claim I "need" their products or that everyone "should" have a pad or a certain TV-size or electric car, Facebook-account or whatever. I just ignore such childish claims.
(And, by the way, I still have a phone with 3,5" connector for headset 😅 (Samsung A52). BR
Windows 11 lets you run Android apps in a VM, but at least its experience is such that you can hae an Android app as a floating window instead of hogging the screen.
ОтветитьI LOVED windows 8, please dont call me a weirdo
ОтветитьUseless on a desktop.
Ответитьmannn i loved windows 8 it was easy to operate on pc and the games was legendary on it to
ОтветитьWindows 10 with Classic shell and WIndows debloater is probably the best OS I've ever used 😅
ОтветитьIt's weird that Microsoft assumed everyone would switch to tablets, apparently forgetting that a lot of people work office jobs where they're on desktop PCs all day. This is the same company that has a product called Microsoft Office, with programs commonly used in offices.
ОтветитьThis is how it ended a year earlier than windows vista.
ОтветитьMaybe it’s cause im young but, I didn’t mind windows 8 at all. I dont get what all the anger about no start menu was about. It worked for me just fine. It never had problems for me, it was easy to get used to and i loved how well everything just flowed.
ОтветитьThey should've just forked it and updated the fork for tablets.
ОтветитьPeople still care about apple removing the headphone jack. My android phone still has that jack.
ОтветитьOn Windows 8, you did not have to use the big full screen start menu. You could use a sized down start menu that looked almost the same as the windows 7 version.
ОтветитьWindows ME + Vista + 8.x + 10 + 11 = SUPERBAD!
ОтветитьI don't think windows 8 was that bad, it was just the UI that brought all the hate, but from a technical standpoit it was a great os
ОтветитьI HATED the automatic inclusion and startup of skype. first program that made me feel the need to hunt it down and destroy it.
ОтветитьI liked it I like simplistic but yea it should be 2 versions one for pc that’s just like 7 but upgraded menu and icons and touch version that should be windows 8 screen
ОтветитьActually, I am using Windows 8. There's nothing wrong with it. The start button is on the right side popup menu. Not lock-ups, no blue screens.
ОтветитьTo be fair Microsoft was right. Everyone did move to tablets just look at modern day phones being sold today. (small tablets that were being sold a few years ago is the size of the average phones nowadays)
ОтветитьErrrr.... Windows8 was the Ceefax (goGoogle) version of an incredibly ballsackian system.
Win7 almost managed to be OK BUT........
So everything I h8t3 about Windows 10
is Windows 8's fault. Noted.
Windows Defender has always been a steaming pile of uselesssh1t.
It was included with Window s7 and it's the first thing I disable, along with Windows Search Indexer, Aero, and Superfetch.
It's 2023.
I'm still using WIndows 7 on a daily basis.
Runs rings around Windows 8, 10, and 11
Windows 8: Microsoft's New Coke fiasco
What we wanted was WIndows 7 with just bug fixes made.
What we got instead was a bunch of mobile phone millenials taking a big frosty dump on a DVD and calling it an OS upgrade. It was unusable at best. We didn't want change, we didn't want someone to rip up the entire OS and revamp it, we didn't want a whole new different product with a whole new UI, we just wanted bug fixes.
What I just said goes for Windows 10 and 11 too. We h8t3 it. Go back to Windows 7 and just fix the bugs, and you'll have a winner. Windows 7, the most popular Microsoft OS ever, followed by XP for sure. Why was Windows 7 so popular. Because it wasn't that different from XP. And what was different, we weren't too happy with it, but we lived with it because it was x64.
People saying Windows Vista is the worst Windows version... Boy, they haven't seen Windows 8 yet.
ОтветитьComplicated version
ОтветитьIs 8.1 better? Once I have 8.1 on my PC and I really like it than 10.
ОтветитьI am still running ME
ОтветитьHow many times can you say the same thing over and over? This video is a good example.
ОтветитьWas only the 'holiday season' in the USA. No where else in the world.
ОтветитьWhen I was ten I couldn't upload my skin to minecraft because it kept opening in the Photos 8 app. 8.1 was alright tho.
ОтветитьUsing Windows 8 while failing university was one of the depressing years ever lmao
pree good OS though
Atleast... the blue screen aint that.. scary😃
ОтветитьI still hate it because it started the trend of bloatware being baked into the OS
ОтветитьI had no problem using Windows 8; for me it was a challenge, but like you said it was like learning a new language and I learned it pretty quickly.
ОтветитьWell... Windows 8 and 8.1 are slightly annoying and slow because they hate and upgrade to Windows 10 but the blue laptop that we have had running with Windows 8
Ответитьi m still using win 8.1 to me its better then win 10/11
Ответитьi dont know a single person who is happy with their phone not havig a headphone jack, they just buy the dongles to use wired headphones when necessary (mics on bt devices always sound significantly worse than wired)
ОтветитьOnly "computers experts" doubt about computers supremacy
ОтветитьWindows 8 was fine, quit whining
ОтветитьWindows 8 had many more stability issues other than the start menu. I always had driver compatibility issues for some reason until windows 8.1
ОтветитьI honestly quite liked 8.1 I used it from its launch until late 2018 and I look back on it with some nostalgia now
ОтветитьI still remember when I installed W8 when it first came, I still don’t understand why people hate it, I really liked and used it until 8.1
Ответитьwait... if there were a Windows 7, 8 , 10 and 11 where is Windows 9?
Ответитьwindows 8 felt god awful on laptops when using the trackpad. it was meh on desktops but still felt trash compared to windows 7.
ОтветитьI wanted go MacOS but… i saw the performance was not that good besides the extreme hardware limitations
Ответитьbro i got world of warships ad
