This is the most beautiful choral piece I have ever heard in my life. This actually beats anything by Mozart, who is also known for his beautifully orchestrated choral pieces. Every time I hear this I cry and shiver.

There is so much wonderful tone painting in this piece.. from the whisper of a prayer, to the ahhs being the angels wings as they float up to heaven, to the prayer gradually growing to a plea of angush, and a cry out to God.

I saved my fathers life in 2007 because when the paramedics couldnt find anything wrong I went against their recommendation and took him to a hospital. It happened again in 2018 when he was visiting from overseas and i had a gut feeling he was hiding something from me.

The third time he caught CoVid. I tried to come save him again but the czech republic closed to border because of the severity of the pandemic. I failed and he paseed away. As ridiculous as it sounds I still believe that had I been able to get there I could have saved him one more time.

Just the text of the poetry is enough to draw tears. The music, however adds so much, however
Its almost as the words and the music were meant to be together.

I wish I had heard this piece in the time after my father passed. It would have helped me so much.

Mortals are a mere breath
the powerful but an illusion
On a balance they rise
together they are lighter than air

I remember singing this in HS, and this was the video our director used to introduce us to this piece. To this day, all these years later, I still come back and listen to it.

It still channels all the emotions that I dug into when singing as an S1, a range I’ve lost to damage and time. I mourned then the people I’ve lost in my life, and now the person I used to be as well.

So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance. MWWTW is going through almost exactly what I went through in the late eighties...plus I was forewarned by OUR HEALER and DELIVERER. Yes, the LORD is good. He is amazed I understand and I pray, comforted...

The song is sung so majestically that it transcends itself from a song to an artistic masterpiece. You can feel the raw yet controlled emotions that they are trying to convey to the listener. Remarkably well done.

Today, it feels like God is saying it back to me. I believe heaven longs for us in the same way as we long for those we have lost.

today was my last day of highschool choir (im a senior), and we sang this in our safety vestibule since it's a very echoey space. for me it was completely new since i was only in this choir for one year, but many of my classmates knew it from the previous year and we had the sheet music, so i got to try singing it as well
I was really blown away. This song is just so wonderful in every way and i was so lucky to be surrounded by those singing it. best last day of choir ever.♡ It's a very special song.
I wish I had gone to meet you since you were recently in my city and my director met you too. Since I did not, I just want to say thank you for bringing this song into the world.

Every few months I come back to this recording and am amazed by the beauty of this choir. It truly feels like for a brief moment I am close to touching the heavens and feeling the love of those we've lost. Thank you for this gift.

I think, I’ve never, I don’t know…. This is the most beautiful and purest form of music I’ve ever heard in my life… Mr Runestad, I just want to say thank you. Every time I listen to this piece, I can’t help but feel emotional. This piece touched me in so many ways. This has to be music beyond the limitations of sound… Thank you to the choir as well for singing it so beautifully.

It's tough to listen through, you can quite literally hear their love, and immense pain. Nothing compares to the feeling of the synchrony of song with people you love with music written with such grace. I hope they are all still singing in one way or another. Less politics in/about school, MORE CHOIR!

I had the privilege of learning from Dr. Talbert once. He is an incredible artist with the ability to make music so much more than just notes on a paper. This is one of those songs that can enter your heart and deeply stir your feelings. Thank you for this song. ❤

I stopped singing about 18 years ago when I got turned down for all the graduate programs I had auditioned for. I have longed to make beautiful music like this. It wasn't until this year that I joined a men's chorus in my hometown after years of singing by myself in my room. It's music like this that inspired me to want to sing again. Thank you for sharing your heart in music ♥️

My beloved 66-year-old baby sister died yesterday. Listening to this choral prayer is comforting to me. I've played it a dozen times between notifying her friends and sorting through her belongings. I hope my love for her can be heard whispering in the angels' wings. I'm grateful to the composer, choir, and those involved in producing and posting this beautiful video honoring Nohemi Gonzalez.
