I bought a fake rolex for $30 in Nairobi and it looks really great. It's been 5 years and it looks good as new. It sure is recognizable from 21 feet away lol

It doesn't explain why Rolex is expensive, the main reason is marketing, without marketing and grey market, no one will be dumb enough to pay that much for a stupid watch that isn't even handmade like other luxury brand (e.g. AP, PP, FP journe, A.longe)

Even a Chinese products live long if you take care of it and why would someone be careful and take care of an expensive thing isn't should last for ever what's the point of taking care of it I can buy a cheaper watch cost me 3 dollars and live long life the whole thing is a scam

When I was growing up, a Rolex is only for old men when they retire and given a gold Rolex. In my old days, Casio or Timex were the cool watches for the young ones. Now I am old and about to retire I cannot even afford a Rolex let alone a gold one. Too many yuppies moving money out of cryptos into Rolex. Thank you for making my Rolex in my retirement just a dream. So I will just settle for one big Rolex wall clock now. At least it does not gives out annoying ticking noises other wall clocks do, so I can finally get a good night sleep

I carry a $25 dollar pocket watch that was gifted to me by an old friend.
Even though I don't talk to him anymore, the pocket watch will always mean more than any 5k+ dollar watch.

ik the point of rolex is luxury not functionality but I just really dont see any reason to spend so much money for so little things it can offer. There's luxury items that at least also offer more functionality than regular items. Im glad the comment section is based
