How to Appendix Carry Comfortably

I came to this video because I’ve always carried at 5 o’clock. It’s comfortable to me however, here’s the coincidence, I’m entertaining appendix carry because there is ZERO space in my Focus ST for storing a handgun at the ready. Those bolstered seats are very restrictive for 5 o’clock carry. Thanks for the video!

This is great information; thank you. I've found that carrying at 4 o'clock IWB means I don't have to think through a variety of scenarios just to go #1. The downside is it's a little harder to carry something larger than a Springfield XD Mode.2 concealed. I like the idea of appendix carry if it allows me to comfortably conceal and carry something larger, but otherwise, meh.

What pants are you wearing that make it comfortable?

I use a holster and mag carrier that are not connected. I'll slide them to the sides.
If 1 solid piece like the video, I guess it would work if you move it until the mag is just at that first loop.

Just for added safety for you, appendix carry a gun that will decock the hammer and not you. Lord knows I still don't feel comfortable with a barrel that close to my southern region

Love these holster’s been carrying a glock 19 gen 3 with a tlr-HL light but 2 days ago my holster has broken after having it for about a year so yeah…kinda sucks because they are pretty comfortable too sometimes i honestly forget i have my handgun with me😂

Great video! I’m thinking about getting a holster mount for my car, but my only concerns are drawing attention when removing or inserting my holster from my pants. Especially since my windows are not currently tinted. Does the comfort outweigh my concerns or am I just being paranoid?

For #2 I’ll typically unbuckle, drop below waist and then rebuckle and slide down to knees. I do this even when I’m not carrying so my pants don’t touch the floor. I find this better cause it lessens the chance of someone seeing you flash your gun around under the stall or something
