ОтветитьThis video has made me realise that I probably have been still hungry when others would tell me I couldn't possibly be. I've been trying to finish eating each meal on a 4 and feeling like getting to 7 was wrong because others would tell me that THEY were stuffed when I didn't feel that way
ОтветитьMy parents used to give me HUGE portions and want me to clear my plate. Then when I got older and asked for smaller portions they would see it as a personal attack and get really mad. It was only after suffering an ED that I finally got them to understand that I should be allowed to dictate my own portion size.

ОтветитьI am the founder of the clean plate club. But I am practicing not to do so. Yesterday I threw out a few french fries since I was full. This would have never happened before. Also I noticed that I start eating faster when I am actually full, to be able to clean my plate. Absurd really. Only about a week in and already noticing things and cues. Glad I found out about intuitive eating.

ОтветитьI think intuitive eating is good but most people cannot handle the guilt. I know a lady that keeps saying "I eat I love eating healthy food etc, I enjoy food" but then when she eats suits like one chocolate she will have the whole packet and then spend 2hours in the gym. Her life after work is hours of extenuating training. I think there is so much fear towards food!

It took me years to finally be able to gauge my own hunger and satiation cues after years of food addiction, restriction, bingeing and rigidity around food. today I eat when I'm hungry and stop eating when I get full naturally. It's amazing.
ОтветитьOvereating isn’t a coping mechanism. Coping mechanisms are helpful things you do on purpose. Defense mechanisms are not done consciously and aren’t helpful
ОтветитьThis video is so me!! W Crohn’s there are definite triggers and sometimes “worth it” not really though lol. It adds another level to finding food freedom and fullness (always afraid of the pain), but I’m up for the challenge.
ОтветитьAh finally an IE video acknowledging medical conditions XD I have an issue where I'll actually throw up for hours if I eat most foods - anything but fish, eggs, white rice and white bread, really! It can be so hard to IE cause after a while you really don't want to keep cycling through those 4 foods!!

ОтветитьI wish advertising unhealthy foods n cooking in all shows crap they sometimes cook was forbidden like cigarettes... I think it would help many ppl massively, including me. Having this ll in takeaways n shops is enough. Xx

ОтветитьA million times yes with food pushers. My mother in law is like that. She knew I was dieting and she literally said "but this is healthy." Honestly I just didn't want whatever it was she was offering. I hate that. It took years to get my in laws to accept I have a gluten intolerance and to me it's just never worth eating something that's going to make me feel sick, I spent too many years spending my life in the bathroom. Pressuring people about food is never cool.

ОтветитьI'm used to never feel full i just stop eating when i feel like i should stop... I think I stop at 5 but i'm not sure... I think that I already eat to much at 5, I'm scared of what a 10 would look like... My body is just used to restricting diet... I'm trying the intuitive eating, but I feel like i'll just never stop putting on weight ... I'm kind of scared that it won't work for me and that i'll have to do an even more restricting diet than last time to lose the weight...
ОтветитьI HATE the “Clean Plate Club.” My ex refused to shred his membership card and would eat everything even if he was to the point of bursting at the seams. I have friends who signed their kids up. I’m sorry, but seeing a two year old crying while trying to shove more food into their mouth just to leave the table is sad and unhealthy! What’s worse is an adult is serving the child an adult sized meal on a nine inch dinner plate. Please make it stop.
ОтветитьI really struggle with mindful eating. When I do it, I'm always thinking - "Ok, am I full now? Ok, how about now? What about now?" It's like a kid who constantly says, "are we there yet..." I almost feel like it's totally unnatural and antithetical to "intuitive." Instead of analyzing each and every bite, in a hypervigilant way, I just have to relax and enjoy naturally, and then maybe once or twice check in to make sure I'm not rushing...
ОтветитьI’ve been attempting to eat 1500 calories to lose weight and don’t feel full when I eat but now even right now ate an extra 500 calories to 2000 and STILL feel hungry wtf and 2000 calories is to maintain weight

ОтветитьMy sister says my stomach is like a bottomless pit, I eat so much meat and still want more. This is probably because I am thin. We need to control our appetites by occasionally fasting before Jesus Christ. Fasting not only regulates how much we eat but it gets us closer to God.

ОтветитьWhat is your opinion on healthy fats for satiety, seems like alot of people just focus on protein and high volume for satiety but leave out healthy fats and even tho with high volume your "full" your not satieted
ОтветитьIve struggled with an eating disorder and I’ve noticed that I no longer feel full or feel hungry.
I’ll sometimes skip a day but then binge the next day.
I also see myself as an overweight person but in fact I’m just skinny fat with a 10 yrs old body 😭🤡.
My doctor told me that feeling hungry is also normal when you're losing weight, even if you aren't restricting much. Your body sends hunger cues because it's fighting the weight loss and wants you back to where you were before. That your body has a "memory" of the highest weight you were and feels comfortable at that point and will eventually fight you by either slowing metabolism or sending hunger signals to get you to eat. I wonder if you have a video on this or your thoughts on this.

ОтветитьThx I’ve been struggling by overeating on the cinema when I go with my parents minimum 1 days on a week and I used to eat like a mukbanger literally get trough a whole 1 l of ice cream,crepes, nachos, big caramel & butter popcorn, boneless wings, fries, etc. And because I only ate that on the movie day I ate all of that , I’m still having problems with movie nights but I’m getting better
ОтветитьI did not eat for eight days. Felt nothing. Except the last day, then I felt if I do not eat now I will die. I eat, and threw up. And again. And again. Finally some lasagna stayed down. I have to remind myself constantly.

ОтветитьI try to limit myself to stop when I feel full, but then it feels as though I’m restricting. It’s a constant conflict of stopping when I feel full and trying not to restrict. I seriously don’t mentally or physically understand the difference. I’m not fully in tune with my hunger cues. I try to remind myself that I’ll be able to finish a meal when I’m actually hungry. Then I go to eat it when I’m ravenous because I can’t find that in between. I’m either starving, stuffed, restricting, or over eating. I can’t figure it out. How full is full enough? Listening to my body and stopping when I’m full feels restrictive mentally.

ОтветитьThis is one of my biggest struggles. Yes, I feel full, but when looking at the food or knowing there is more food I just want to eat like. Sometimes obsessively, I know I'm full and doing want it or need it, but I just like the food and like eating.
