Is 6800XT good bcoz im planning to change from 1080Ti to newer version i used it for more then 5 years some friends told me 6800XT is better value for gaming due to 16gb vram

And just a year later with a newer better CPU the OC 2080Ti would nearly match the 3080 if you use a 3900x, either a 12900k or 5900x would add a lot more fps, come to think of it even a old 9900k is faster than this chip, the moral of the story? Don't run a 3080 on a 3900x...

The absolute lower fps is on the rtx 3080 ...this means that the rtx 2080ti manages to manage a better less-stuttering rendering

Just downsized from a 3090 FE to an MSI Gaming trio x 2080TI (pocketed some£$£$), im waiting for the 40 series! to be the fair if you want to benchmark all day your fine with the 3090 if youve undervolted and repadded the backplate as the hotspot/vram/vrms hit 105 deg gaming! Not even thinking about mining . The gaming experience seems to be less fluid with the 3090 than the 2080ti at 4k as the 3090 constantly hits its power limit. Stay with thr 2080ti guys until a decent upgrade comes along eg 7900xt or 4080.

Looks like you got a faulty card (or some other pc related issue) my guy. Every other benchmark on the internet shows that the 3080 has better performance than the 2080 Ti. Also judging by my friend's experiences, it sounds like you're in the 1% of people with this bad performance.

the 2080 ti was a great card ...like the 1080ti before ...and both costs less than the 3080 ..u can tell me what u want ..but on ebay the 3080 is at 1600-2200 (germany) ... while the 2080ti (NOW!!!!) is at 650 - 900 ... picking the right card isnt even difficult

Jusy bought a broken EVGA RTX 2080 Ti XC Black Gaming that has OX symbols on the screen after a few seconds of gaming for $40. Whipped up a handwritten bill of sale and opened an RMA. I basically got a free 2080 Ti :). Forget paying 1k on ebay for a last gen card :P

AC Odyssey just runs 60+ fps on 4k MAX on 2080 ti OC non stop. The only problem is your Ryzen CPU, one of it's core is almost at 100% load always and the problem is not in GPU ^) Hello AMD fans

4k is so overrated. Give me 1440p144 max graphics and ray tracing.

Poeple complaining that its not a big difference, but look he has r9 3900x and 3600RAM and its not very good. At least with i7 10700k OC you would get a lot more fps at some games.

Reading comments in here .. the big thing with these new 30 series is Frametime and 1% lows ... power and price are factors too. The overall experience in 4k is impressive. I have no more micro stutters when moving quickly or just playing in high actor areas. Most noticeable on my heavily modded skyrim se games. Is it worth the upgrade from a 2080ti ? Probably not. Was it worth it for my 1080ti overclocked to near death? Fuck yes.

If you have the 2080ti, it's probably not worth the upgrade, in my opinion. If you have basically any other card, and you're looking to upgrade, then it's a good deal because of how "little" it costs compared to the 2080ti, and how it's a little better

Thanks for the tests..So a 15-30% increase in fps (which is only an abstract l average of about 12 extra fps) over my 2080ti for $800.. don't think it's worth it for me.. I'll wait for 4000 gen unless they come out with a decent 3080ti or 3090ti
