I swear none of these worked. At first the problem was that it would turn on and off over and over again. Then when it finally started up it would turn off while updating. Then after updating it said that it couldn't update. Then it just kept saying no signal for a long time. Then it would turn on, but the screen would be black. I heard you have to have the original adapter which I don't have or/and the power adapter has to be at a certain voltage and amp. I've put different cords and power adapters, I've changed the USB to another HDMI, and unplugged it for 30 seconds. Nothing seems to work. Also, just for context, I'm living outside someone's house and I have 3 extension cables coming from outside of the house to the end of the yard where I'm at. So maybe the power from the extensions are forming a lot or to little of power. Either that or I need the original power adapter or at least the same volts as the original adapter.

None of those steps worked I only can hear my tv I only have fire stick remote that came with the tv no other way I can see tv because it’s black screen

Mine is brand new, and it doesn't go past the firetv logo ...
I have tried everything from changing adapters to changing the power cable .. to no avail.
Crazy thing is that I am not even able to send it back to amazon, since i live in a third world crap.

I can do nothing but to regret buying this crap.

I have weird problem, my fire TV is connecting to my (my mobile hotspot) but TV screen remains black.
