The real horror in these games are the lighting, controls and the endless walking.

Game scared the life out of me when I played it. Plus it feels like a weird dream kinda. It's happening again, watching this..

My current record for completing SH2 sits at 2 hours 16 minutes and 1 second, still playing the HD Collection on Xbox, so awesome, great memories, can't wait for next year's new film, Return to Silent Hill, its based on SH2, and Jeremy Irvine is playing James.

I was 16 when I played this and 13 when I played the first.. the emotions these games unleashed was like nothing I've experienced since. It was raw, tense and may have lead some weaker minded to actually go insane playing it and ending up in an asylum, muttering 'Silent Hill, Silent Hill, the town where I need to be.. help me get there plllllleeeeesssseee arggggghhhh " 🙏🏻 😅

At the start the places 'Brahms and old Siley' are from first game. And I remember the Aliens you could find hovering.

P.s the names of streets and shops are very Yakuza esc.. I mean why is 'Neely's st' named after the bar. Did Neely turn everyone intl alcoholics to receive the honor of Street being named after him, that must be why the streets are devoid of locals 😂😂😂

the way you play games is mildly infuriating

I am on my first ever play, it only took me 3hours without counting the mutilple time I died to achieve what you have done in a single hour. 😂

A lot of people may not know this, but on the two pyramid head boss fight, you can just get them close to each other and make them stab each other to death by just running around them in a circle. That way you save ammunition.

I just bought this on eBay for 90$, super excited to add to my collection.

This game and GTA 3 & COD, started the revolution for gaming to becoming more realistic.
It was hard to put the joypad down once you played.

I've recently played SH 2 and 3 recently on pcsx2 at 2x resolution and I'm quite surprised how much better they look compared to most low end PS3 games considering how old they are.

Everything about Silent Hill 2 screams fairytale.

I really like this walkthrough. Exspecially the beginning. Just walking and reacting to these strange sounds. Very human. But you could have knocked on more doors tbh. I would. Till 19 minute at least you didnt knock any door. You do it for the mystery. You are playing a story. Not a speed run or a game.

Eddie really said "lets party!" and then attempted to murder james too. that part is crazy as hell

I respect this game for its achievements but at the same time I hate it and have always wondered why people seem to love it so much. Isn't world around us not fucked up, depressing and grim enough to also be playing such game? I don't need more of that stuff in my life. I want some positive experiences from games, movies, music, etc.
