This song reminds me of a guy that I used to call brother but I saw him too little to really know him. He was the kindest of all souls that I knew.

this song make sme tear up somtimes, reminds me of my dog max
recently had to have a vet dude come out and put him to sleep, he was...just too old, he didnt have the energy to get up and breathing was evidently hard enough for him
maybe if he had been able to drift off in his sleep it wouldnt hurt as bad
my mother told me it was the nice thing to do, dogs are loyal, so even if he suffered he would have wanted to stay with me as long as possible, but it was the right thing to help him drift off - still feel somwhat guilty and just all around pain from time to time
max was more then a dog, as are all pets; their as much family as the humans
when i was little i didnt really understand why some people can become alchoholics or do drugs.....but when max was passing away in my arms...i understood; felt like i would have done ANYTHING to escape the pain
nearly broke my foot once, and i would have gladly experienced that pain instead of the emotional anguish of losing a family member like that

word of advice to those who experience pain; seek out another person; for a hug, for a talk, anything - it can really help to have a shoulder to cry on - and while the pain will never leave; it wont be as horrible as time goes on
for instance; i'd frequently go to my dad to get a hug and cry and i couldnt WAIT for night - i have trouble sleeping so i have tablets that are meant to help me sleep - the most peacefull i felt was when sleep was taking hold or when i went to my other dog snowy or my father fora hug
but now? its only somtimes when i think about him that i'll somtimes just start crying like a baby
and max..... i got a new dog max, a beagle, i hope you'd approve of me trying to keep snowy from feeling lonley, boy, it wont be the same without you
