sadly i hawe tons of problem whit garuda :( update problem etc.....
ОтветитьBy any chance is that deal still active? Or am I too late? Either way, I love Linux.
ОтветитьNice vídeo, Linux has come a long way in gaming
ОтветитьGreat work on setting up gaming on Linux. Since I have been running Linux for about 5 years, my kids have now migrated to Linux for gaming as well. As you stated in the video some of the games run so much better in linux through proton than they do natively on Windows. Great Job!!
Ответитьwill it run great on laptop with gtx or rtx gpu's??
ОтветитьGooig to say the main benefit for Retroarch, is that it includes everything in one place. More about convenience, you can have it download artwork and descriptions for multiple systems.
You still need your own bios and rom files, as needed.
Man i can't wait.
ОтветитьThank you nice video
ОтветитьU can use motion controlr on dolphin if u use a switch contqoller
ОтветитьMay i ask for help? How do u use multiple controllers on pcxs2
ОтветитьI been using Linux casually since 1998, I am very impressed with All of this!! It is easy to to see a real future in this!!
ОтветитьNot going to lie man..... I actually enjoyed listening to this and didn't really find myself skipping around a bunch (except for when I went to rewind a specific section). It was nice to see you go through the various emulators too and the fact you showed ways to rip your own ROMs. I have quite a bit of older games from the 90s I'd like to go back and play.
I've also been thinking of getting my kids on Linux too, I just feel better about them having a system that's a bit more locked down and kind of forces them to tinker a little bit. I myself like Linux as well and use it for work stuff, it's awesome to me that Linux doesn't just need to be another sever-only OS.
Good video overall — simple, yet thorough explanations on how to get setup. Keep at it man!
I absolutely Love Garuda been using it for over a year now
ОтветитьI been gaming on Linux since 2003. I drop Windows that same year. Windows XP was the last Windows OS I touched. I never stopped gaming, I just changed how I game. And yes I played all the games in the Linux repositories. Which includes all those emulators at the time. Even all the arcade games using MAME. I'm still using Linux to this day. MX 23.1. I never stop playing the AAA games either. I just play all my AAA games on current real gaming console hardware. So I never have to stop real gaming while I can enjoy Linux for life. Who needs Windows, I don't and never will.
ОтветитьReally enjoyed the video. I wish you could mention the state of Xbox emulation.
ОтветитьThis looks awesome with Garuda!
ОтветитьThis is exactly what I've been waiting for!!
ОтветитьHi eBuzz, love your videos. How does Garuda compare with Nobara?
ОтветитьProtonDB rates the game I want to play (Lord of the Rings Online) as gold, but it no longer works as of a couple of months ago per my experience and confirmed by reviews. What are the options, then?
P.S. Thank you! Interesting video!
I'm trying to get my feet wet on linux in general, of cause gaming is a part of that.
Sadly gaming seems easier than developing C# apps x)
Thanks for the video.
Linux gaming is dead simple these days.
Ответитьoff to try on old MacBookPro. only space laptop I have that might run this...
ОтветитьAwesome video man. In fact gaming was the last obstacle that kept me on windows. My working notebook is already Linux only. I think, my gaming notebook will follow as soon as I backed up my stuff. Thank you for the video.
ОтветитьThank you for the video and I will try Garudo on my system. A colleague owns a Tuxedo 17" notebook and is very happy with it.
ОтветитьGreat video. Have you choose the winner yet?🤨
Ответитьthis is a pretty sweet video covering not only TUXEDO, but a good distro for gamers wanting to leave Windows
ОтветитьMy only 2 concerns is if emulation is slightly worse on it or not, and how it handles not only mod loaders but old abandonware and obscure games
ОтветитьI'm loving Linux for gaming. I have been daily driving PoP! For the past year and have only found 1 or 2 games that want to give me trouble. Been dabbling with Linux since the 90s, it's come a loooong way since then. Highly recommend Linux to anyone who hasn't tried it yet!
ОтветитьI used to be a windows user but i was super tired with updates and stuffs like that , thanks to your videos i decided to try garuda and is amazing for a newcomer , super easy to use , fast , so for sure is going to be my main OS 😊 , im having a blast gaming on it . Good luck for everyone in the giveaway , would be amazing to have one of those Linux laptops !!!!
ОтветитьWell you crrrainly reminded me of my youth. I run Steam on opensuse. I use proton experimental and have successfully run neverwinter nights and elder scrolls. I have Elden ring but I suspect it will need a cheat to run and I have heeded the warning of being banned. I’m only running with a standard Lenovo and the Microsoft graphics and it runs smooth as. As for Minecraft it runs better than it did on windows well I may be biased there but it seems to. Great video Troy. Useful stuff.
ОтветитьValve has really helped with the gaming on linux scene quite a bit
ОтветитьApex legends is 100% safe and runs well on linux i dunno if its my fault but it does crash after like a hour but im still messing with things to fix it thats why im here lol also i switched from nobara to garuda and its night and day one huge thing about nobara that sucks is you have to mount your drives every single time the pc turns back on.
ОтветитьDo you think a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 is gonna work fine if I switch to Linux? I'm sick of Windows and wanna give a try to Pop!_Os.
ОтветитьI have been trying to find a Linux that is right for gaming the right laptop obviously helps
ОтветитьWoot, woot! Nice one! 👍
ОтветитьI might try this on my macbook air. I doubt if it will run games, but it looks so cool!!!
ОтветитьDual GPU!!! I could pass one of them in qemu through, and play unsupported games in a virtual windows machine with half of the ram
ОтветитьWindows games nowadays runs better in linux under proton/lutris/ vulkan than their native linux ports.
ОтветитьSo can you play DCUO or any other mmo on linux? Or are mmos off the table?
Ответитьwoah brooke burke i remember her...... i always wanted to burke in her brooke
Ответитьhey man nice video i'm moving over from windows to linux is this version the best for gaming or lmde 6 Debian Edition thanks
ОтветитьMight give this linux distro a shot for gaming.
ОтветитьDo sada najjasnije objašnjeno kako i šta uraditi.Volim samo trkačke igrice i ovo je prvi video gde je objašnjeno kako igrati"Need for speed".Verujem da se na isti način pokreću i Gre
ed ,i slične.Hvala E BUZZ.
Ditched windows and been using garuda for 2 years. All the games that i play works well. It’s pretty stable too, i installed an additional xanmod lts kernel in case something breaks but so far i never had to use the alternative kernel
ОтветитьThe days of Windows are even more numbered in my household now. ProtonDB here I come. If the games I play are playable on Linux then there is no longer a use case scenario for Windows on my machines.
ОтветитьI love gaming on Linux . And i love your👍🏼 continued awsome content
ОтветитьI have a steam deck and I can play mostly every single game that I have on my library and some other games they do have problems with the anti cheat but I really don't play too much multiplayer games bud and works very nice the steam deck it still has a long way to go at least proton but it's getting there
Ответитьalos modded games is possible
ОтветитьLinux has come a long way from when I started in 1993. I may consider a Tuxedo laptop so that I have a secondary full time gaming machine on the go.
