Free alternative for cPanel, DirectAdmin or Plesk?

Such a pity that CentOS is end of life, pretty much. And why on earth CWP is not migrated/forked to use with debian beats me. I've used ISPc and CWP and many paid ones, plesk, cpanel, and all free ones too, like hestia, froxlor, virtualmin/webmin/usermin, you name it, but CWP beats them all hands down. Better UI, more logical interface, less messy under the hood. You can still do your own stuff under the hood without immediately ruining the control panel's ability to make stuff easier for you. A CP should not control the OS, but just interface with what it sees the OS is configured as. This is what CWP is good at.

now HestiaCP is one of the best alternatives. Fast, everything on board, which is needed for standard web hosting. including ready prepared nginx reverse proxy, mail, firewall, iser management, auto off site backup via ftp or to Backblaze…. File Manager, and so on.

CWP I do not believe so much paid support and run smooth! At the beginning I was tried once. But CWP had lot’s of issues and they never mentioned about on their website. So if you are planing to install CWP think twice and try first on your own server. Doesn’t mean cheap good and stable.

They are not as mature as others like DirectAdmin, but even the ones like them have a hard time implementing new features and bugfixing! For years, users are asking them in the Forum for features like MongoDB management, NodeJS, NPM module installation, composer installs, etc.. Still, no sign of when these features are added or if they are going to do it or not! Just recently they added a new theme, after years of an ugly html4 template!

CWP PANEL: This panel is very unstable with an endless flow of fixes every night. You can not upgrade operating system without doing a complete server rebuild. Tons of work for administrators. They are trying to get people to pay, but paying for garbage is not a good idea. They have a forum that gets no response from the developers. If you have something bad to say on the forum you will be removed. They do not want users saying bad things even if it is true. I would recommend directadmin or one of the others. The developers of this panel have no interest in the users. They are trying to make it good enough to charge money just like the other paid panels. AND ALL OF THEIR CODE IS ENCRYPTED SO THAT USERS CAN NOT MODIFY IT. THIS IS IN DIRECT VIOLATION OF THE OPEN SOURCE AGREEMENTS. STAY AWAY FROM CWP.
