Wtf does CR7 have to do for people to stop pretending R9 was better than him? That argument made sense when Cristiano was still at Man U or his first couple of years at Madrid, but now it's just straight up blind hate.There's not a single player in history comparable to Cristiano other than Messi, that's it.
The "but he has no worldcups" argument is also the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Not only did R9 play in probably the best national team ever, while CR7 was playing most of his prime with shitty players like Miguel Veloso, Raul Meireles, André Almeida, etc., but CR7 managed to win the only cups Portugal's EVER won (I have to mention how Rui Patricio was also a big part of the Euro 2016 win). Something that not even the portuguese golden generation of Figo, Deco and Rui Costa, or other astro players like Paulo Futre, João Pinto and Eusébio, managed to do. Not to mention the countless times he saved Portugal from not even qualifying for the Euros and Worldcups. He was a one man army until well into his 30s when Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva and now Rafael Leão started to play decently (save Pepe who has always been an absolute pillar of the portugueses' defense). He's just better.
