The best crown were from 2004 to 2019 , those were the best years of Toyota crown, especially the Athlete series, but this new model is just piece of crap

I bet that the top of the line, Crown Toyota of "olden days" (before Lexus existed) was supposed to be their luxury model but now, since they already have a whole luxury DIVISION, they have to hold back a bit on the luxury in order to not step on Lexus's turf.

I speculate that this car is geared to the same type of customer that the Avalon was. I was as nice and luxurious as a Lexus, but only in the COMFORT sense of the word. Innovation, sportyness and expectional styling still belong to the Lexus brand .. perhaps?

so a perfect replacement for the Avalon. kinda unnecessary with Lexus and a Camry XSE or SE (like the Cressida). and is odd looking but not hideous.....
