As a fan of both and a huge MJ fan my kindest take on MJ ...Is he was a deeply troubled man who acted grossly inappropriately with other people's children.

The latter is indisputable now that I am an adult and work on child care. And after extensive reading on all the claims and evidence (and lies) there is a very real chance MJ hurt Too many of kids through what can only be called selfish actions.

I have no idea if anything was ever sexual...but I know it was emotionally abusive as it always is with adults who have all the power over a child.

I cannot forgive MJ (or any adult) for this but nothing can take away from his genuine genius or the good he did for the world...before subsequently undoing much of it through his choices.

If MJ was always appropriate with Mac then for that small mercy I will always be grateful. Though Macs perception will always be compromised... as we all are for those we love.

Their friendship was very symbiotic. Michael gave Mac the guidance of how to navigate life as a child star. Advice that very few people can give. Macaulay gave Mike the experience of the childhood he was robbed of. It's sick that humans automatically assumed that there was a predatory, sinister side to this. Michael Jackson was protecting Macaulay from the trauma that he experienced at that age and they were a positive force in each others life until the media started making creepy accusations.

As much as it hurts that a great artist and person like Michael Jackson is no more in this world I am sometimes contended to think that he isn't cause the world was way too cruel to him, we didn't deserve him.
