I deployed spring boot applications (admin and ecommerce) into GKE cluster using helm charts, now i want to configure Prometheus and grafana for those applications.

After installing Grafana and adding Prometheus as a data source, if needed, we can also view the default query directly from the panel menu:

Click on the three dots in the top right corner of the panel.
Select 'Edit.'
In the 'Metrics browser ' section, contains the query used for retrieving the data.

will this setup work only on ec2 instance? because i tried on my local minikube (with docker driver) and after exposing the prometheus server service and when i try to access it through browser it says "This site can’t be reached"
the 'prometheus-server-ext' is having type as nodeport and a 30xxx port allocated, not sure whats the issue is, anyone can help?

If my understanding is correct, Grafana will use metric querries in kube-state-metric and request promoetheus for metric data and it shows on dashboard assuming the /metric endpoint is exposed ?? is it correct?

Hi Abhishek, I have deployed the Prometheus Operator stack using Helm and set up Grafana with Prometheus as the data source. However, I'm experiencing an issue where the metrics displayed in the Grafana dashboard are consistently double the values obtained from "kubectl top po" for memory usage of pods. I've checked the scraping intervals, metric aggregation, and dashboard settings, but the problem persists. What could be causing this discrepancy and how can I resolve it?
