I am now always interested to see who still promotes Nils K1v in 2023. It is a true enigma of limitless value.
Top notch vintage 8-bit sounds, brilliant interface, tons of headroom, perfect for synth wave and other vintage or videogame themed work, but it also has plenty of sounds and instruments that are perfectly suitable for modern music that needs an authentic VST instrument.
I think when it comes to free VST's, it's a good idea to suggest people install a VST browser like Cantabile for previewing them, sorting and deleting as they pile up!
You can build a collection as good as a $600 package, but it takes a very long time and a lot of effort.

morphiza is my favorite free retro plugin for chords... even tho its really shitty but it has this kinda analog cheap bedroom studio vibe/ 70s
