I received my Redmi 5 (not Plus model) from Gear Best last week. After a week of using it, it is what Alex said.. a great phone, just keeps making me smile when I use it. I upgraded from a ASUS Max 3 that was OK, but had problems with Wifi after a security update. The Redmi 5 is seems very solid, very, very fast in comparison with ASUS, the fingerprint scanner is incredibility fast, I like the MIUI 9.5, and most of all data & wifi are working well. I have used about 30% battery everyday, so no issues there. The Global model sets up with Google Play right out of the box, and few extra pointless preinstalled apps. Just can't complain about this phone so far.. the camera pictures aren't as wide as ASUS, but I can live with that..but really I haven't used the camera too much since it arrived.. . Thanks Alex for your video and recommendations.

how strong is the phone's vibration, this phone particular model or Xiaomi phones in general?? I keep my phone on silent with vibration turned on. My current Asus has very weak vibration and I generally miss messages, but my old Blackberries would shake you off your chair.... strong the better..

with that price, the redmi note 4X is better than this. Other than the screen size and curve bezels, I dont see how the redmi note 4X is much difference from this. Not to mention the redmi note 4X is really cheap now, I got mine for about 130$.
