I hate it when they make the games harder then they originally are
ОтветитьDislike for your Nord vpn talking
ОтветитьWhile FF7 may never have been officially retranslated to literally carry over the Japanese "-san" and other nicknames, the Steam/PS4 version actually fixing every single typo & grammar mistake was very much appreciated.
Ответить"Japanese Barret = Solid Snake"
wut
One other thing is that the attack for Choco/Mog (Deathblow!) in FFVII International was actually given the Wind element, unlike prior versions where it was non-elemental.The materia itself in JORG was also non-elemental.
Ответитьthe hades summon spell also had dialog attached to it in the japanese version. the debug room also had a real odd change with the test of the battle system.
ОтветитьI can't believe they censored Cloud's vagina bones
ОтветитьThere is a full fan retranslation. It makes the game much better than it already is.
ОтветитьThey remake Tifa godess body
ОтветитьHonestly, I’ve been playing this game, and I haven’t found too many noticeable errors. Of course, there’s the infamous “This guy are sick.’ line, and the mistranslation from the first boss. But I haven’t really found any weird phrases so far. It is really a shame how much stuff was lost during the conversion to English, it’d be truly awesome for someone to create a proper translation. Judging by how much of the game appears to have been translated already to show the differences between the Japanese and English versions, I doubt it’d be too hard.
ОтветитьI recently started playing this about 2 weeks ago, the game is so good! It’s a shame about some of the censored content, but I’ve honestly been enjoying it so much I haven’t noticed any issues. I must say though, I’ve been amazed by some of the stuff that wasn’t censored. For example, despite the game being rated 11, you can steal some of Tifa’s underwear, thousands of people died when Sector 7 was destroyed, and of course there’s the infamous Aeris scene. That’s crazy.
ОтветитьTim Rogers did a good video on this.
ОтветитьI'd say it's not so much censored as it was made more offensive in English.
Ответитьin the Japanese version Aerith can be brought back to life
Ответитьhello! thanks for the shoutout in this video!! my series is now called "let's mosey" and i just released the first part of the massive-two part finale episode, which covers from aeristhsths's death through to the end of the game! the last part is coming this friday :-D
ОтветитьYou should try to speak at normal speed wtf is that
ОтветитьNever trust a video that's only a few seconds above 10 minutes
Ответитьbruh they did all this but they didn't switch O WITH X
ОтветитьTrue story; Japanese "love hotels" are cleaner than regular American hotels.
ОтветитьThey literally gave everybody in North America the much better version of FF7 🤭...
Ответитьi had a snes before i had a playstation....ff7 was the first game i bought when i finally got a ps1.....being used to the snes graphics i was awestruck at the backgrounds of ff7
ОтветитьThe part about how some of the translation errors and odd turns of phrases have become integral to the game's legacy makes me wonder how they're going to be addressed in the remake. Will there be little jokes nodding to the mistranslations?
ОтветитьWait what? Games are different if they're in another language? No SH*T Sherlock!
Ответить"...there was a serious lack of communication and best practices back then." Back then? Honeywood, I've played the Dragon Quest localizations you were in charge of. It didn't get better. It got even worse. Final Fantasy VIII and Chrono Cross also were also full of tons of completely washed out translation issues, which was pointed out in this video. And despite you running off to work at Blizzard, the people who took over are still using your flawed methods. You seriously set back localizations for decades.
ОтветитьI don’t know what version this is but you didn’t have cursors indicating where entrances were.
ОтветитьGANG BOSTERS
ОтветитьThe real question is WHY all the changes from the Japanese version? Why did they feel like adding all of these to the foreign releases and not their own? What was their motivation. Whoever could answer. Thanks. Cheers from New York
ОтветитьThe remake is going to be censored to high Hell thanks to Sony California. I hope Square Enix have the decency to make the PC release with any cut content the Playstation release won't allow.
Ответитьaspet ratio ffs
ОтветитьI don't mind fixing grammar issues and things like that, but I really wish they didn't censor the word 'shit', which was uncensored in the original PS1 release.
ОтветитьEnglish people always thinking they are the center of the universe. The rest of Europe got also the same version with the country’s official language.
ОтветитьGood choice of background music!
ОтветитьIt was more than 2 super boss's 🤷
ОтветитьAny other final fantasy games?
ОтветитьI played the german version and it was the worst translation ever! Even character names weren’t consistent!
ОтветитьI never played Final Fantasy only Kingdom Hearts
ОтветитьAeris is not a mistranslation. sigh It's just impossible to know from the Japanese Katakana what was intended.
Ответитьenglish version is better...nihongo wa arigatou gozaimasu!
Ответитьty for the video, shame about it not being too comprehensive, alright insight though
Ответитьtl;dr: nothing surprising or controversial changed.
ОтветитьEven if the hot chick is made from 1997 geometry, they will click.
Ответитьps1 titties plx
Ответитьdon´t forget that the game advised to attack that scorpion robot when his tail was up.....
Ответить
