Joel has amazing situational awareness even though he was indecisive at first he definitely realised it's time to GTFO when shit hits the fan with Randy's death one of the smartest and underrated horror characters

I keep seeing theories that he is Mindy and Chad's biological father. Yall.... based on his character do you really think he'd willingly have kids with the sister of Randy? 😅. They should bring him back for Scream 7 as a voice of reason.

This dude is so amazing he is the type of character u wanna hang out with after the movie is done. Also i love how he starts weak and kissing Gales ass and scared of her then he ends by standing up to Gales bs and following his intuition... Character evolution

I feel like Joel is one of the more underrated characters.
I just always found him really funny

Trivia: Joel and Hallies lines about “getting that on film” were both improvised. Elise Neal who played Hallie, was really mad at Joel’s actor for stealing her spotlight with that hilarious line.

Also, Joel’s actor came up with the idea of him getting away from the murders by a taxt, and so that’s exactly what he does

Joel was great and one of the best characters. He had limited screen time but he still manage to make an impact. Very smart man

Scream 2 not only had the best and most recognizable cast, but it also had the best moments. I loved that Joel represented "the black man who gets the fk out of the drama."
