More people need to be aware of the dark facet of Orwell's history --- supplying the Establishment
with lists of Communists, Socialists, Anarchists et al.
Homage to Catalonia, whilst useful up to a point, in portraying a basic outline of events in the SCW,
it remains deeply flawed, in being so far removed from real events.
There is various, credible content online dissecting Orwell.
He was a charlatan. As such, his work is massively over-appreciated.

George Orwell only became 46 years old. It would be interesting if he had lived long enough to experience the real year 1984. If he did, would he still think he was right in what he wrote in his famous book?

Sterilize the communist, socialist, anarchist inception if you are to advance the world into a state of preservation and excellence.

1984 and Animal Farm are genius and prophetic. If you haven’t read The Road to Wigan’s Pier, Down and out in Paris and London, Homage to Catalonia or his essay on the English language I highly recommend them. This is a man who did not sit in a comfortable place and draw conclusions from afar. He went out first handedly to form his views. I have immense respect for him and an even greater sense of awe for his assessment of it.

What he didn't realize was that the more people try not to make something happen, the more they do make it happen lol. I do wonder why he picked the year 1984 though? 34 years after he dies?

Reasons why we let it happen (superficially) and else
* "The world suffers a lot. Not because the violence of bad people. But because of the silence of the good people."

*Media controls the mind, practices selective silencing.

* We live in a monetary system, which is not possible to maintain. "There is not enough money to feed or house all the people in this planet. But earth has more than enough resources to meet the needs of all people, but only if managed intelligently." So what I think is necessary is a resource-based economy. But how can this be turned into reality? New ideas must be presented in a way that politicians can understand them.

* Education is failing, indoctrination.

//
I always thought world will unite after some crisis. But 9/11 and COVID proved this belief wrong. I dont have a negative nor positive image of a future, I can only perceive what is taking place in the present, and look at that with attention. But most of us don't do that. It's too painful to face it, so we all look away in one way or another. And that's just what being human is. So the solution is not to look for any scapegoats anymore, the solution is to be aware that we are all apart of the misery that's encountered in the world.
Our responsibility to oneself and others is to realize that society is not in alignment with human nature. And many of us have even had that realization! But because we haven't known any alternative of another way of living, we have become "hypernormalized", stagnant state driven by ignorance, in which there is "an entropic acceptance and false belief in a clearly broken polity."

Some practical ideas for not letting it happen?
I feel like we can first start with having real discussions, not arguments. Real discussions are rarely seen. Even the most public speeches have a very authoritarian aspect into it. Speaker says, and the audience listens. Just like indoctrination.. And I don't mean discussions in internet. Arrange meetup groups in real life, gather up with people and have a structured meetings, discussing whatever topics that seem necessary to discuss. "Write what should not be forgotten", the same goes with communication. And most of us are actually tired of talking and listening, "its all the same, its all talk and it wont solve our problems". Which is partly true, if our communication doesn't hold any deeper understanding than just verbal understanding, there is no meaning.. But when there is real communication, a dialogue in which all participants meet up with the same level of intensity, there can be real insights which can be turned into Action.

Look at what the trendsetters are doing. It's meaningless, and entertainment drives us. (Book: Amusing ourselves to Death - Neil Postman) What if the trendsetters would be something totally different which wouldn't be so narcistic? The problem which we have in presenting public philosophy and cognitive perspective for example is that it is thought of something academical, something which only the "intellects" can benefit from.. Another problem is that Everything new seems dangerous. And these matters are very personal too, so it adds up to that threshold to actually getting into such matter. However, this is not a dead end. Every human progress is a byproduct of its surroundings, and everything which has a beginning, must have an ending as well. (Referring to our self-deceptive way of assembling thoughts / harmful ego )

"Our planets are facing the greatest problems its ever faced. So whatever you do, dont be bored. This is the absolutely most exciting time we can possibly hope to be alive. And things are just starting."
