Que fascinante es ver cosas tan antiguas
ОтветитьWoooow much time alone this home
ОтветитьI also believe that the hills home in upper State New York was built in the late 1800s by seeing all the different fireplaces
ОтветитьQUeen Elizabeth is a luxury ship QE2. Leaves from New York and arrives in Northampton England. It's like the Titanic. You said you did not know what airline Cunard was. It's not an airline it's a luxury passenger ship
ОтветитьThese videos are so fake. This is only one of the many they did whose family “left everything behind”. I think whoever’s behind this channel, either them or some corporation, finds abandon houses and stages them with things bought at an estate sale. All the “expensive” pieces have hardly anything on them and are in great condition. The pieces that are falling apart are cheaper and most likely what was really left behind. The ephemera left behind in this episode is also in perfect condition. Have you ever seen paper left for 40 years or so, in an abandoned shape? These 2 are cute, but they don’t know anything about the objects in the house. And there all suspiciously the same, these houses. There are photos left out all around the house, all well as postcards. Not in albums or frames, just neatly strewn about. I bought it for half of the first episode, but the flags went up awfully quick!

ОтветитьJust be safe out there. Some states have castle laws which the Dutch might not know about. I would advise you to look these laws up and have a care that you do not inadvertently surprise a homeowner. As unbelievable as it may seem to Europeans, some American states allow for extreme force in protecting property and privacy.
ОтветитьIndian River box is Florida…fresh fruit farms.
ОтветитьI love you 💞 to home
ОтветитьFascinante!
ОтветитьMy british great grandmother visited america in 1974 when she was in her early 40s hard to think that when she was there, this house was still being lived in...
ОтветитьSo sad to see it all abandoned.
ОтветитьIf the calender said 1974 it would make it 49 years they disappeared.
If it was 53 years it would say 1970 cause I'm 53 I was born 1970
Hi Lesley & hi Danny how are you both? I'm curious as to why the children & mother didn't live in the house after her husband died that's odd did he die in the house? I'm just asking? it's so sad to see an historic home left to Rot I wonder why the children haven't turned it into a museum I still have my whistling kettle to, it makes sense why a clothes line would be in the kitchen with the gas heater the clothes would dry Alot faster than in a cold room be careful guys of the floors, black & white mould, asbestos to, I'm looking out for your safety I noticed the pantry is narrow be careful of wooden kids toys they contain high levels of lead, it would be cool if 1 of the children talked about there day to day lives in this house the wall paper samples contain lead to.
ОтветитьBackgammon
ОтветитьIt's a printer.
ОтветитьYou make a lott of langauge mistakes
ОтветитьThank you... bravo.... pay more attention to detail....
ОтветитьCunard Lina was a passenger shipping line. They were rivals of the White Star Line, who owned the Titanic. These people traveled overseas by ship in cabin class. They must of been doing pretty well back in the day because only rich folk could travel on those ships for pleasure. It was expensive. Cool video brother! Thanks for coming to our country! Cheers from Texas!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👌🏼🤗💖
ОтветитьCorset wouldn't be worn by a child.
ОтветитьPictures of groups may be a farmer's convention
ОтветитьWhen you see a cabinet with drawers in a bedroom, it's called a chest of drawers.
ОтветитьEndive is toch andijvie?

ОтветитьI had the last name hill in school growing up
ОтветитьBoa tarde pelo amor de DEUS tem que grava em português eu em

ОтветитьHola Lesley, hola Danny
I believe that what you called the bathroom in the beginning, is what my parents called a "summer kitchen". A separate kitchen where it had screened windows. They would have a wood stove out there, a sink, and it was a place to cook without heating up the house. Also where they'd do garden produce into canning jars to store in cellars for the winter.
ОтветитьCunard is ship line....
ОтветитьIt's been a long,long time,why ?? Nobody's will buy that house???
Ответитьoh and the game board in the living room is Backgammon I think.
ОтветитьTHAT MACHINE you found could be an old printer.
ОтветитьSorry guys, after looking at some other comments it’s not the farm I thought and Hill does appear to be the family. What beautiful country and what a shame of all this family’s memories left behind.
ОтветитьThat patent number 2657618 is for a copier. Copease Manufacturing Company about 1954. Makes sense that you would find it in the office.
ОтветитьSeems the brothers owned two separate farms Theodore ran a farm in Sharon Ct.
Allan his brother co-owned the farm in NY with a man named Lee. Not sure if Theodore had any connection with where you are at?
I’m always in amazement when I see these houses just left. You can’t help but wonder what the story is.
The family of Theodore and Ruth were not the Hills. Two brothers owned the farm from 1936-1966 per the obituary of Allan. Whether it was carried on in that family after 1966 I don’t know. They have a very successful family history in politics, business and stock brokering on Wall St. Allan is a graduate of Yale. Incidentally, Allan was chairman of the board of The Royal Typewritter Company. He served as a state Senator until entering the army during WWII. Theodore is also a graduate of Yale and studied law at Cornel.
In 1961 it was referred to as Mole’s Hill Farm, also not the family’s name. Their bull won grand championship of the Amberdeen Angus show in West Springfield, Massachusetts. Bull’s name, Maximillion. They were said to be one of the best Amberdeen breeding farms in the world.
As an American explorer, while I enjoy your videos I think you should be aware that you're sharing information that allows people to locate these locations. I was able to find this house just because of this video. You have seen we clearly have issues in the states with vandalism, theft, and I've even seen locations that get exposed like this, burned down. You have great content, but try to be aware of how you endanger these places by sharing so much personal information.
ОтветитьThis house is a bit of a wreck. I think that the photos are the best treasure.
ОтветитьLots of antiques in there
ОтветитьVery sad story ❤
ОтветитьIndian River fruit is from Florida. Oranges, Grapefruit, lemons, etc.. The house was probably built in the early 1800's and was added onto and updated several times. Fireplaces are boarded up because once central heat was added the heat would go up the chimney and waste energy. The Cunard Line was ships. Think Titanic. Thanks for this trip down memory lane!
ОтветитьI don't think anywhere in the world people like people trespassing.
ОтветитьJust to let you know, the room you first went in was not a bathroom. It is a closed in side porch or know as a Mud Room where family would take off their shoes and maybe wash up before entering the house.
ОтветитьBeautiful but corsets are not of the period! 1974 … go see 1960 and you won’t see corset…that would be 100 years before! 😂
ОтветитьI think the thing you thought was a typewriter was an old hand operated photocopier. You would wind it and copies were printed by carbon. Never forget the smell.
ОтветитьI like how you explore these abandoned places and houses with a lot of respect and also elegance
ОтветитьHi Lesley and Danny! Remember.....my last name is Hill. Maybe these are some distant relatives of mine. Very curious! However, I am a true Southern girl, thru and thru!
