Wonderful and useful information. I knew about the "awkward" - ness when you match the seams together down the line, but, I never knew or even thought about how you should only sew the length from "dot to dot" so you can have it fit together correctly. I also didn't know about how you press the seams in opposite directions when you iron them open. TYSM for sharing this video with us. 🥰👍😻
ОтветитьBest hezagon tutorial I've found! Thank you!
ОтветитьReally clear tutorial thank you
ОтветитьHow do you add a backing?
ОтветитьIve got a new janome 840dc macjine
ОтветитьHi Jody, thank you so much for this tutorial, this is my first time making a hexagon quilt, I've torn my first two rows apart because I didn't see them in the right way, I found your tutorial and it was great, you have explained it so well, you took the time to show how to do it, I will be watching all your tutorials from now on,😍.
ОтветитьHint if you own more than one sewing machine: use the machine that is easiest to control the hand crank and reverse. A knee lift for added control of pressure foot also helps.
ОтветитьSo glad I found your tutorial, makes it super easy to join my flowers together!
ОтветитьSlow, simple, understandable ❤️
ОтветитьThank you 😊
ОтветитьThat is suddenly a lot less intimidating that I thought it was going to be. Now it's just time intensive, lol.
ОтветитьI'm struggling.. I've sewn a hexagon gusset now and guessing I'll have to hand stitch the y.seams where the corners are
ОтветитьI think using the dots is more efficient than marking the entire seam allowance as some demonstrate. Some rulers have a hole to easily mark the point. Your presentation was excellent.
ОтветитьYou should try keep warp and weft directions the same. And i swear i can almost do this as quick by hand
ОтветитьGreat tutorial. Thanks!
ОтветитьYou really don't need 3 pins in a tiny piece of fabric like this.... Please just hold your fabric properly while you sew and you won't need pins at all.
ОтветитьThank you for the great tutorial!! So simple and easy!
ОтветитьThanks for sharing
ОтветитьWow I found very easy peasy lemon squeezie fast tutorial. Now I can finish my hexagon quilt faster than to do the traditional quilting
ОтветитьGreat work
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьExcellent video! This is exactly what I needed :)
ОтветитьDefinitely making this!
ОтветитьThis is an excellent tutorial. Really well explained - thank you so much. Kind wishes from UK x
ОтветитьSuperp tutorial, thank you so much!! I was given the link to your video from Rosery Apparel, one of her 10 minute tutorials, she sews so many hexagons together with scrap fabrics and will complete her quilt over time. This is something I too will endeavour to do. Sending best wishes from UK x
ОтветитьFYI: I don’t think you need to remove the pins as you so. Most machines, at least 4 machines I’ve used through the years, would all sew over a straight pin as long as it’s perpendicular to the foot and the pin is not bent in anyway.
ОтветитьThank you! Very short video and very well explained. I loved it!
ОтветитьGreat tutorial. No unnecessary chatter and no ums and ahs every third word. Thanks.
ОтветитьWell done. Clear and concise. Thanks.
ОтветитьLove this and My aria
ОтветитьEnjoyed the tip on hexagon stitching by machine. My question has nothing to do with it though. Is there s pattern for the quilt on wall! I love it! Thanks!
ОтветитьLove this!! Thank you for the tutorial. I saved it to my Pinterest board called "Hexi's".
ОтветитьAwesome!
