I wanna believe that Katara's statue is in Sokka's southern water tribe because she's the only waterbending female who contributed to the war at some point.

I think they also did her dirty with the parenting bullshit with Aang and their kids. There is absolutely no way Katara would allow Aang to neglect their other children. I already hated what they did to Aang, but they made it worse with Katara.
This show has some charm but nothing else. The characters suck, it's opening disrespectful to the original, and treats horrible philosophies like they ok so long as they don't go too far. Like no anarchy, we never have a good idea. Yet the show treats the final villain like he's actually some great guy who just took something too far. They treat the villains of this show with more honor and respect than the OG cast. We don't even get to see Sakka outside of flashbacks that only made me want a different show.

Also Zuko, Aang and Toph all got chances to shine with their bending inspite of being older. Katara meanwhile is stuck just doing boring healing. Really was insulting....also making her age pretty poorly compared to Toph and Zuko

it seems out of character for katara to want a statue of herself. she's the second most mature and down to earth character just next to Iroh. The mere fact that she made an impact and sees the peace that she brought upon the others must be more than enough for her
