Great Drill with alignment stick. Adding that to my warmup
ОтветитьHi Danny, I love all of your tips. But I tend to forget some of the tips on the course because I watch most or all of your videos...
ОтветитьDanny I love your videos and find that I have to go back from time to time to re-tune my swings. One that I mentally really like was an iron video and you described the swing as similar to throwing a frisbee. can you tell which video that was as I changed computers and cant find the one I saved. Help! thanks
ОтветитьYou are really amazing.
ОтветитьHands down a perfect lesson, no flaws. This is 10 minutes of medicine, also a simple picture you can pocket anytime anywhere especially when you need it on the course. Unlike most channels who provide talk show instead of practical golf lesson. I'm index 7 at this moment (peaked at 4, like 5-6 years ago, i quit golf for 4 years then started over again with very different play style and game plan, nearly 2 years ago). Sometimes could even get over 12 in a bad bad day. Definitely gonna pocket this one for my next round, i know it'll work me wonders. I tend to kinda forgot myself for a few stroke after a bad shot added with nasty shit talk (i consider myself and my buddies are big bad trash talkers lol). Thanks, Danny. Godbless!
ОтветитьCan't wait to try this next time I'm at the range (later today lol).
Between you (feel) and AMG (technical), I've got two favorites to follow, of all the golfers on here. Thanks a million for everything!
Thanks!
ОтветитьFantastic training tip !
ОтветитьThis one simple drill has allowed me to visualize what needs to happen when making ball first contact. Brilliant! Once again Danny, simple well explained drills that the average golfer can take away to improve their game.
ОтветитьFantastic video, very well explained
ОтветитьQuestion, what about the club releasing? Don’t u have to “ snap the rope at the bottom right f the swing”? Seems that if the alignment stick doesn’t hit my side on follow thru I will lose power.
BTW Love all ur videos. They really help
best drill i've seen and and exactly what i've been looking for. Works amazing👍🏼👍🏼
ОтветитьHi Danny, thanks for the advice, is that drill for all irons from wedge to 5iron? Been shanking my 9 and wedge recently. Thanks Gerry
Ответитьhi Danny, I am from Germany. Your Tutorials have really helped me to get from 31,9 Handicap beginning of the season to Now 16.2! really great stuff... Thanks Sebbi
ОтветитьI've golfed for years...I'm 29 now and in the past year or so it's felt like I was a better golfer when I was 15. My mind has become so cluttered with different tips and tricks that I feel uncomfortable each time I approach the ball now. Recently found your channel and decided to start completely from scratch. The way you break things down so simply has given me hope that I can get back to consistent golf. New clubs get here Monday and I am looking forward to taking everything I've been learning from your channel to the course!
Ответитьwell put and that was a great simple drill for smoothness and power and all. Wonder instruction. I will practice that tomorrow and let you know.
ОтветитьDanny I worked on this drill at the range today and it felt great. My only issue was my face was closed like yours on the trackman. Was striking good but hitting a little left and as little to much draw. Any thoughts?
ОтветитьAny drill to check distance from Ball. how far you stand.
ОтветитьWell done, Danny! Love the drill, very helpful!
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьHoly crap - I found the video I desperately needed! Thank you! Wish there was a matrix that could match specific swing issues to specific remedy videos ( I know - way too much to ask for) - I can tell you that I would pay for this... maybe an app or on your website. For instance - I would tell it that I want to work on iron face closed at impact .. it would say .. watch these videos in this order ... 22, 66, 75 .. ect). Love your content - hope to make it to your spot on the globe at some point in the future for an in-person lesson - thanks!
ОтветитьRight on the money
ОтветитьBest video ever
ОтветитьAbsolutely great concept. Thanks I honestly learn more from your videos than I did with in person lessons
ОтветитьBest and easiest to understand drill I ever seen
ОтветитьVery nice how in the slow motion you can see the shallowing at the start of the downswing!
ОтветитьI don’t know about anybody else but I’ve tried one handed swings and it was incredibly diffficult. Danny, we’re not all perfect swingers like you. I’ll try the tip when my club opens back up.
Ответитьthough an older video, I'm bookmarking this, I have alignment stick in my bag, haven't used them yet, didn't know what to do with them, now I know, also rarely I turn on the bell notification, but you sir are amazing, for some reason, I've lost my game since summer, I've gone down with my distances by easily 50-60%, can't hit it straight properly either, in summer I could even shape a draw or fade with irons
ОтветитьAwesome drill! Danny, how would you work on hitting a push draw with this drill if you wanted the ball to start to the right of center initially, then draw back towards the middle? This is probably great getting the proper path, face, and angle of attack, but will it be prone to developing pulls?
ОтветитьThanks Danny....I'm gonna try with a long tee fixed on the back of my driver/iron and see how it works. By the way, do you have a 'cure' for the driver shots that start on the intended path and then at the apex start to shape right ...like a half fade half slice. Would be keen to know how to fix that.
ОтветитьThis is very helpful. Getting feedback is the only thing that helps me improve. Physical feedback. Even watching myself on video doesn’t seem to help. Thank you so much for this.
ОтветитьGreat drill, I’m a real beginner to the game and struggle to understand most drills but this is perfect
ОтветитьLove this video, really helps with the fundamentals! Thanks 🙏
Ответитьbest golf teacher
ОтветитьBrilliant. Thank you very much Danny.
ОтветитьThanks a lot 👌I will try it tomorow in Tours (France) 😜
ОтветитьOff out to buy an alignment stick, thanks Danny
Ответитьtry this at home, I feel I was able to strike the ball, rotate my body better. The stick definitely gives me feedback, especially when it hits my lead side ha. Can't wait to try it at the range, hopefully it will change the way I strike the ball in the course, too. Thanks Danny!
ОтветитьGreat analogy about learning a language word for word Danny. Thank you!
ОтветитьHi Danny! I'm trying to improve my consistency and have made pretty positive improvements over this (my first full) season of golfing. Still struggling Sith a slice on the driver, but irons have gotten much better. With all the local courses closing for winter, I want to use the off season to not only maintain what I've learned but improve my swing to give myself a head start in the spring. I have a net and practice mat for the garage, but no real plan. Would a $500.00 launch monitor give me the kind of information I could use to improve or are there other things I can do so that I don't form any bad habits? thanks as always. Your videos are a large part of my improvement over the past year! Cheers!
ОтветитьI think the graphic for this video is misleading. It shows the sweet spot centred on the 5th main groove from the bottom. This is close to the geometric centre of the face but the sweet spot occurs at the level of the centre of gravity. The head is weighted to result in a lower centre of gravity about 3 main grooves above the bottom. This is important when checking the wear/strike marks on the face of your clubs.
ОтветитьBrilliant Danny, very well explained, can't wait to try it out👍👍👍
ОтветитьThat's our Danny! Making the game fun and with a purpose. Thanks ....
ОтветитьPure gold, I needed this so badly.
ОтветитьThis is an awesome tip and instructions are so clear to understand, no 'golf ' jargon used, simply KISS. I am going to try it as soon as the rain stops.
ОтветитьDanny, I have done this drill and YES the shots go straight..........BUT no speed or release through the shot. Can you discuss THE RELEASE? TYIA
Ответитьgreat drill this one thanks Danny
ОтветитьDanny, your teaching is superior! The foundational techniques add so much to my understanding . Thanks for the awesome videos!!!
ОтветитьYour video on how to keep left arm straight was a game changer for me...tried this yesterday and kept topping the ball but it wasn’t aligning stick it was much shorter and wasn’t on the ball line..determined to stick with it..it takes time like you say
Ответить
