Thank you very much! Simply renaming the atig6pxx.dll file to atig6pxx.dll.bak within the C:\Windows\System32 subdirectory fixed my RStudio Error 87 block as you instructed in your link above. Great job.

This resolved the error triggered by Anaconda's Spyder.exe application. The driver in question was ATI FirePro 2260. The downloaded driver only listed 2270 as a supporting device but I installed it anyway even though Windows warned of the Apocalypse. After a reboot, the error is no longer triggered.
