I always set the proxy resolution to half but every time when I restart DR my playback resolution sets automatically to half. Can you help me out please 🙏

Hi fella need your help I have the latest updated of DR but Jesus it’s slow I’ve tried everything re install the works I have a decent system i7 9700k 32gb ddr4 rtx 2080 but still can’t play back braw 4K smoothly

Do we have to change the timeline resolution back to original before the final render? or does it make no difference if you render settings are correct?

It didn't help, my project is already 1080 so I tried 720, my machine is not a beast, it's a M1 air, and yes I'm using NR, glow and grain, what else could help? Cheers

for long speeches, is it possible to playback at 2x speed?

I have same problem, issue on play back, but with the new version of Davinci Resolve 18 studio version. When play the video, it beginning lose frames... I have a Mac Pro 7.1 with 96 gb of ram, Xeon 16 cores, 2 GPU, a Radeon Pro 580x with 2 4k monitors plug in on it and a second GPU, a Radeon RX 6800 XT with 16 gb with out any monitor on it, just for acceleration render process. My operating system is Mac OS BigSur. My problems beginning when I try to see a video Clean Feed on the second monitor. Could someone help me with this issue?

this was great! One thing I've been researching a lot is gamma shift when exporting using a 2021 MacBook Pro with an external monitor. So a video i would like to see is what my project setting should be (output gamma/color space), my preference settings should be, AND what my delivery settings should be (especially pertaining to color and gamma tags) because Im having difficulty getting a consistent viewing export from my mac to my phone etc.

I have a gtx 1070 and it still kinda chugs a bit on 10 bit footage. Would more ram help if I have 16gb? Or is it the CPU that needs to be upgraded?

Brother... The fonts i had uninstalled still shows me in the text + but when i select that uninstalled font DaVinci gets crash. But the uninstalled font doesn't shows in the normal text layer..

Davinci wide gamut is enough to take dull party of the dimanic range, or i still need to do cst nodes, for proper conversion. The final output project is rec.709. Thanks in advance!...

Do you personally turn the timeline resolution back up to 4K when working on detail work such as NR, sharpening, or adding grain?

I usually edit in 1080, but when I'm actually coloring I find I need the full 4k resolution to make sure I get the details right.

I've been dying for a pro to give a proper explanation of the advanced settings in the CST node. I understand input/output colorspace/gamma just fine, and I have a somewhat working knowledge of the tone mapping section, but that last section with the checkboxes completely eludes me. I have to resort to guess-and-check every single time I use it.

When I render my video in resolve it is more contrasty/saturated than it looks in Resolve. Not sure if anyone has this problem but if you could do a quick tutorial addressing this issue it would be greatly appreciated 👍
