I saw your video. It's really helpful but what I need to do is to apply to the cell B10 values of different cells in row 2 depend on selecting different month from a drop-down list.
let say applying vlookup in a conditional way based on monthly criteria.

Thanks for sharing. How would I display the values, matched with Vlookup, in adjacent columns first before applying a function like sum or average to them? For example, given the same layout as above, how would I display the lookup values in separate, but adjacent columns for January, February and March. Would I have to create a unique lookup formula for each column or could I use a constant array as you have done in the video. Thanks, Sam

Hello, If i need to get sum of all the enteries in coloum B, into H1 and Coloum C into H2, All entries in Coloum D in H3 and so on is their any formula for it
Ie while i enter the formula in H1 and drag it down i need to get all the value of different coloums in Coloum H as explained above.

How do I search in multiple columns though?

I've got a list from Fedex of Countries, but the data to search is going to be written by more than one source, so I need to create a more robust search.

One system might write USA, while another might write United States, while another might write US or U.S.

So I've set up all "basic" variations in a table. I want to search through the entire table with the vlookup, but it's only doing the search on the first column. My longest set of variables is out to column L, so I have a table of data B:L. It only checks criterion data against column B.

How do I tell it to search ALL columns under the table?

As with DW721's comment, this is what I'm looking for but have many rows then your small dataset. How can I expand that small array of {2,3,4} to the whole column of rows or many, many rows?

Can this be done with multiple rows instead of columns? For instance, I have an excel file of clients and the amounts they owe. They may be listed multiple times with different amounts owed. I essentially want to combine all of their amounts into one. This looks like what I need, but with rows instead of columns.

I have tried it but the result I get is Adhi for both as same ID I have used and it takes first name. Actually I want to get spouse name in second row.. Please help me on it

nice cheers doug, how do i complete a vlookup which allows me to pull multiple columns of data into multiple cells. rather then using multiple sheet and cell references as individuals. i basically have a master data sheets that I use to create a dashboard in another sheet, but at the moment Im am linking cells individually from one sheet to the next.
