I would so love to see a demo of tires like these on your course but put on something like a Jetta or an AWD Prius, lol. Just curious how much it makes a difference on a vehicle that has no business doing this.
ОтветитьI Love the general grabbers truck came with
Ответитьwhat happened to the area there. was it like forrest destroyed by a fire? it looks like a desert now, but judging by the huge dead trees this seems to be a forrest before...?
ОтветитьNice review. Been eyeing these but man are they heavy!! That said I think I’ll go for the C load 285s and mount them on a set of Method Beadgrip wheels. I’ll use these for May-Oct for the summer trails and then go back to my current 265 AT3Ws SL on the stock 4Runner wheels for Nov-Apr for the snow, braking/MPG improvement and winter compound performance of those tires.
ОтветитьUHM... this was probably the worst offroading review i've seen in a while..... had to be someone from the PNW... ugh
ОтветитьWould you say the EVCX is doing what the GOAT modes do in a Bronco? How would the tires be on a rock climb? How about in mud?
ОтветитьAnother very entertaining and informative video. Great course, just keeps getting better. And you really want to know. Where did the Sidewinder go? Maybe lower the air pressure. Greetings.
ОтветитьI had falken ziex tires they don't hold up. It's junk
ОтветитьIs it just me or does that ranger look really underpowered for the job?
ОтветитьNo snow peak rating means there not for Me !
ОтветитьThey are not 3 peak. I'm not interested....I will go with the AT3W
ОтветитьGreat video and content! Keep it up!
ОтветитьHe talks like the new Willy Wonka lol
ОтветитьHated the Wildpeak AT3w on my 4runner in the Sierra's during winter, they sucked if you had a light snow dusting on the street. Lost faith in the Falken Wildpeak name... running the Cooper Discoverer Rugged Trek, love them.
Ответитьtread look like bfg at’s
Ответитьwere you invited to the Toyota Land Cruser ceremony?
ОтветитьIt would be awesome if they had 3 peak mountain snow flake rating for my on-road winter needs. For my 4Runner I would not go over Load C (I had bad experience with comfort on Load E tires on my 4Runner). The weight of those RTs are little too much for my 4R. These days I'm checking Toyo OC AT3 SL tires on one of my 4Runners while the other has Falken WP AT3W SL.
ОтветитьThough not 3-peak rated . . . based on personal experience, I have a sense these Falken Wildpeak RTs actually do handle snow and ice fairly well on full-time 4wd vehicles . . . but perhaps are somewhat sketchy on (switchable) 2wd vehicles, especially pickups that are inherently too light in the rear for the desired physics-efficient weight distribution footprint that is so necessary to better handling predictability on snow and ice.
ОтветитьI absolutely love my AT3Ws, it's hard to imagine I could expect more from these!
ОтветитьThat was very impressive. It would be interesting to see how it performs on mud, slick roots, and wet rocks.
ОтветитьLove Central Wa!!!
ОтветитьIs that your land?..permission to dig it up?
ОтветитьGeneral tire question. For raining pavement, what would be better? A really good all season like Michelin cross climate 2, or an AT like wild peak at3w? Trying to settle a debate. No off-road at all. Strictly talking about pavement performance when it’s wet.
ОтветитьI think it's very odd that Falken did not put the cooling ribs along the bead like they do on all the other Wildpeak Tires.
ОтветитьLove the two New Tracks!
ОтветитьI was thinking about buying these tires but the lack of a snowpeak rating may steer me towards the AT3W instead. I think the snowpeak rating is important with our PNW snow and rainy winters.
Ответитьas soon as he dropped to 4 low I turned it off … 4 low ? gawd …
Ответитьryan definitely used this video idea as an excuse to build new trails
ОтветитьIf you find tire noise annoying then your too old!
ОтветитьHeck yeah! I want the AT3Ws so bad, but they don’t make them in my 215/65r16 size 😢
ОтветитьThanks for the review
ОтветитьI thought the snow is supposed to stick to the tire...Good job on the review anyway, these are unusually rare...
ОтветитьI can't get over how ugly the tire is. It doesn't really matter, but it just looks ugly...
ОтветитьWith that extra power, what's the MPG of your Ranger?
ОтветитьI made the mistake of putting 10ply tires on my PRO. Huge mistake. Way to heavy and stiff for a mid size. Thats aired down to 10lbs.
ОтветитьVery curious to see how a good AWD, like a subaru wilderness, would do with these tires on that new path of yours!
ОтветитьAnother great video! Keep up the good work!
ОтветитьLove Faulken a/t tires but I need the 3 peak rated version for winter driving which is 1/3 of the year where I live
ОтветитьI wouldn't want to have a junk Ford as a four-wheel drive off-road there's no towing services😂
ОтветитьRyan, did you buy the for evaluation or were they free for advertising?
ОтветитьAny balancing issues? I keep hearing about it with these tires.
Ответитьthanks for the video Ryan, when are you bringing Crosstrek Wilderness to the course?
ОтветитьJust up your way in Cle Elum . So many great roads trail views awesome
ОтветитьI'm still gonna be sad when you trade this Ranger for the new one. IMO the new one isn't as good-looking or as reliable. Plus, I prefer the traditional gauges with the smaller digital info screen.
ОтветитьSo - if you want to go out and explore Nature's Winter Wonderland, both on-road and off-road, I am still thinking AT3W and/or Nokian Outpost AT?? Same for safety in Winter driving in the PNW; or NWA where I live - areas where it doesn't snow much. I would prefer to have the best Snow rated AT's on the vehicle for those occasional Winter Snowstorms. Or - will these be good to go for 90% on-road driving in an area with only 3-5 noticeable accumulations of snow per Winter?
ОтветитьThanks for the review, Ryan. Do you still have your 4Runner?
ОтветитьI'm a bit biased since I own a ranger too, but beautiful truck and looks amazing with those tires.
ОтветитьNo way!! My KO2’s were much less than that!
You’re nuts, my KO2’s make no noise.
