What’s the difference between the drop step and a one dribble spin? just the amount of dribbles?

I found it funny how the 2 of the most famous signature moves that have won so many championships are in the bottom of the list... I'm talking about Kareem's Sky Hook and Jordan and Kobe Fadeaway. I'm not saying that is wrong to put them there, cuz they're really tough to make and tougher to do it consistently, but sure is kinda curious.

1 dribble spin is a travel 100% of the time, but it's so common that it's uncalled pretty much permanently

jump hook is an easy S-tier. the problem is that a lot of people do it wrong. if you actually shoot the hook shot over your shoulder instead of facing up to do it, they defender has little chance of blocking, even if they are a lot taller.

Good interpretive breakdown. The only gripe is the fadeaway ranked so low, yet arguably the best players in the league to ever play the game use it as their primary attack. So that means the post is not for just "bigs"

What's the difference between a drop step and a quick spin? They look darn near identical.

I've often heard the step through called the up-and-under.

I commonly used drop step jump hook and pass. You didn't mention how to position yourself and how to get the pass. Most players nowadays receive passes too high in the post.

Sky hook is really really hard to guard and its really useful if you are a center. if you master it, you can make urself one of the top scorers on ur team. It is worth training for if u are tall and looking for a move to score with

Should have had Charles Barkley on here, has the second highest 2 point fg% of all the top 50 all time scorers, only behind Shaq, he was the best PF ever as far as backing someone down.

The fade away jump is an "unstoppable" move and should be ranked S.

I would say use the drop step when your bigger than your defender

Sky hook in c tier???? No way, I’ve literally never had a sky hook blocked in my life and most of the time it’s an easy point if I’m not feeling like moving a lot and I’m just exhausted

why Fadeaway so low 😢 should be S or A+

Ah the disrespect to the fade is crazy it's ao dependent on how good of a shooter you are. If you're a big guard or a wing you could easily shoot as well on a fade from your favorite spot as you do on a jump hook and bonus, you don't have to bludgeon into the defender for 2-3 seconds first. Just bump and fade.

In my personal opinion the step through should be higher. Broken move, forces your defender actually never leave their feet or risk a wide open layup. It's a great mix up and usually if it doesn't work fully you can still draw a foul with it

The skyhook is a S, nobody has mastered it since Kareem. Put some respect on it

A backdown on a stronger defender is the perfect way to get a quick spin bc they will put too much force back and won't react to spin

As a 5'10 160 pounds pg, i can say with certainty i could never pull any of these off

Sky hooks are not tough to make and they are easy to learn.

The post moves is such an underrated skill in todays basketball. Kids nowadays wants to take a hundred dribbles trying to break somebodys ankle

Are the drop step and quick spin not just the same thing?

Most one dribble spins are travels. If you lift your pivot before the ball is released from your hand it is by the book a travel, however, done fast/aggressive enough refs will miss it.

As a 5,2 centre I can confirm that I’m now a baby shaq with these moves

I gree that the sky hook and fade away moves are ranked at C because they are tough to make, but let's be honest if you have 100% control of that moves you become unstoppable, look MJ, Kobe and Dirk with the fade and Kareem with the sky hook what they got
