If you have AT LEAST a 3MB/s upload speed, you will be able to livestream in "ok" quality.

No one should be recording with H.264 instead of HVEC. FFmpeg AAC is also bad. Should pick fragmented mov/mp4 for the file container.

How do you get your Wave mic to sound so good? All the VST people recommend are usually for Windows is there anything you do differently on a Mac to make it sound so nice?

Hi, I got a M2 pro and for recording I use mkv and prores format but files are too much bigger. If I use mp4 I can’t use prores format cause aren’t compatibles. Which would be the best config in this case. Thanks. Sorry for my poor english😅

Whenever I livestream, the stream always looks good at 1080p. But I'm having an issue that when I press record and later on check the game I recorded on files, it's always at 720p although I followed exactly what the video said. Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Or is there an editing software that is free and will help higher the quality? I currently use davinci resolve but It doesn't help higher the quality

Use CQP for recording, CBR either is gonna waste space or not use enough bitrate.

Hey so when I putting PS5 on streamlabs it gives me option to bring in at 4k should I bring in at 4k or 1080 since it’s a 1080 stream and my elgato x says 1080 streaming so idk why it’s giving me the option

My stream is beyond being saved..I can't stream with any settings im watching people do anywhere. I have a ryzen 5900x and a 3080ti and I use a monitor 1440p, but I downscale the stream to 1080p or even 720p and while streaming I have around 10 fps on my stream. Its set to 60, i have 120MB Upload internet, stable with cable connection. I tried to use 6000 bitrate on twitch, and also 7500 with the ignore thingy on the OBS. Can't amke it work

What are your thoughts on using VBR or CQP for the rate control on the recording tab? I think CBR is fine for streaming, but I've noticed that when I'm recording and streaming at the same time, the saved recording can have some skipped/lost frames when recording highly intense sequences with lots of movement and action on the screen.

i think its better to have multipass to single pass, heard it would cause issues in gpu intensive games.

Highly recommend you set your FPS to your monitors refresh rate. Even tho yt cant see any higher than 60 the recording will look a lot smother!
You can also set the "REMUX to mp4" setting for mkv!

big tip i think is to still use mkv, obs has the abiltiy to remux back to mp4 so you dont have corruption fears.
