ОтветитьSir I was with 4th bct 25th id when they went to Afghanistan in 2009
ОтветитьGuys go special forces if you dont eanna end up like these guys😂😂 Go option 40 or 18x
ОтветитьInteresting but good video. Thank you LT for giving us a glimpse into what you guys do while on deployment. I liked the video. You guys take care. STAY SAFE. God bless and thank you for your service.
ОтветитьYeah military life, hurry up and wait lol
ОтветитьMy platoon patrolled 1-2 times a day almost every day for 14/15 months (I took over mid-tour). Only break they got was tower duty for a month, and even then we were still pulled to augment major operations. Sometimes you get a maintenance day for your gun trucks but on those days you’re cleaning weapons, looking at maps, hang out, and then a few hours to watch a movie or game it up. Patrols can be 2-4 hours, but operations can mean 14-20 hour days and you’re sleeping out in sector (in houses, battle positions, in your trucks at some other patrol base). Contact with the enemy depends on how kinetic your battle space is. If you get assigned to a hot sector like an enemy support zone, you’ll be shot at frequently and IEDs are a daily threat, plus the locals are harder to win over (We used to deliver beanie babies to little kids in enemy areas). Even If you are pulling base security and rarely leave the wire, those entry points are high-payoff targets for the enemy and they get attacked frequently (drive-by, mortars, car bombs, sniper fire, etc.) War in the 21st century is hell sometimes.
ОтветитьI’m a Canadian reservist so I haven’t had the opportunity to deploy yet, do you guys not have PT in the morning in country?
ОтветитьIm about to be 32 and preparing to go to the Army OCS. A prior Air Force enlisted too.
ОтветитьKitty!
ОтветитьThey really give combat patches for Iraq in 2020?
ОтветитьThank you for your time and service. Thank you for the Contant. I really appreciate it. Stay safe.
“If you can’t be careful, be deadly”
Officers are the BUREAUCRATS of the Army. NCOs are the true leaders of men in the Army. Ask any soldier, "Do you want to follow the Platoon Sergeant or the Platoon Leader (Lieutenant). Guaranteed answer "the platoon sergeant".
ОтветитьI was in the Army for 4 1/2 years retired out wonderfully but dang I was terrified and it didn't help that after I had went to boot camp everything was going so good and then I overheard my CO talking to my father about sending me to some deeper shit that was going to add 3 more months to my boot camp training and I would have been deployed straight from boot camp without having a chance to go home first it's a long story to what was going on as to what I would have been deployed straight into but my father was sending me to my death because I found out later on that mission I would have been sent on there was no survivors and the mission was a fail even the dogs got shot and killed I had raised hell enough with my dad and CO got thrown in brig for calling my CO an a**hole during the argument but was only in brig for 2 days and got apologized too for them planning on not running these plans by me first long story short my father holds a lot of power with the US Army for the service he dose and the missions he has done on deployment himself several missions was with CIA but I loved deployment when I did go it was chill we just got stuck watching the town we were in for 6 months and watching out for Iraq civilians safety as we slowly moved refugees to immigration to be processed and transferred to the US for better lives we unfortunately only transferred families with children was our main mission to just get the children out of the War so they had a chance to thrive
ОтветитьWhat rank did you leave as and what was your last position?
ОтветитьMaybe your deployment was a kush job. I deployed twice to Afghanistan, 9 months each and was in over 600 TICs between the two.
They're definitely not what movies make it out to be, it's much worse.
I expect more from an LT.
Watching this is just hitting all the feels. I miss my brothers so much. I remember one night we didn’t have to go out on patrol and we were just wild. One of my battles pulled the steps away from my chu and he opened the door to ask me to go to the gym. Of course I wanted to go, so I go to step out and faceplant the ground. My squad was laughing, I was laughing. After that I plotted my revenge. We had these wooden closets in our chu’s for each troop and my chumate was out, so I took a golf club and beat the everloving piss out of his pristine closet. Chu mate comes back and asked what the fuck happened. I calmly told him quillman(the guy who pulled my steps) just came in and said “fuck benson”(my chu mate) and destroyed your closet. After that every morning benson would pound on quillmans chu and wake him up by shoveling rocks and moon dust into his chu until we went back state side 😂
Sorry for the book but thanks for posting your adventure.
Regulars by god!
Holy shit when were you at AQ????
ОтветитьThe "MTV Cribs" reference just dated this video with accuracy lol
ОтветитьGreat content LT.
Glad to see the daily life in the deployment. Pls touch on the top age limit one can commision as officer. Does it help more if u have Masters degree.
Love from California baby!!
ОтветитьAhh this is what fobbits do
Ответитьcould you make an edit without cussing? I want to show this to my middle school classes but their parents probly wouldn’t like that 😂
ОтветитьHorrible music....thanks for ruining it.
ОтветитьI'm signing tomorrow n I'm stoked to finally do something different with my life
ОтветитьLoved the Army. I was the gay dude. Everybody knew it and no one cared. I would have given my life for any one of those guys and they me. The fact that they slept with women and I slept with my husband at home was trivial. We bonded with one another as human beings. I highly recommend the experience. (The hottest men I will ever see - holy christ!)
Ответитьwhen are you gonna wina war?
ОтветитьSunny you're the most enlisted officer ever. Cool as fuck, thank you for making this video. Take a closer look at the smiles on those specialists lol
ОтветитьNobody there is worried about looking good 😂😂 the sexiest thing u can do in war is not get injured or killed 🫡 shhh but I want to go to war also
ОтветитьThe WAR KITTY
ОтветитьNo wonder the USA loses wars so often now. Not due to you guys but due to politics. You guys should be out there making gains instead of playing grab ass all day. No missions, just sitting around like a show of force and doing drills. If I was an enemy, I would not attack because politically I know the Army will destroy itself. Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Vietnam. When was the last time we actually won a war? We win battles but not wars on the broad scale. Too much politics in the military.
ОтветитьDon't you guys feel heat in those uniforms ?
ОтветитьShit makes me wanna go infantry
Ответить"As an Officer, even while deployed to Iraq, still can't escape Meetings" (and PowerPoints....) Most real thing ever said on any of these "day in the life" videos. Been to Iraq and Afghanilands myself, was legit laughing out loud at parts, just because of how real your guys are here, like "Yup, been there, done that, known plenty of dudes just like them" Coulda been any one of the FOBs I've seen in passing. Best wishes for you and your Platoon for a nice uneventful (safe!) deployment and y'all come back safe and sound
ОтветитьRandom but serious question I’ve always wondered. Does it ever get really hot wearing all of that uniform, helmet, and boots out in basically the desert
ОтветитьWhat’s your mos?
ОтветитьThe NCO's have the real fun these days. Officers dont lead from the front in warfare today.
ОтветитьYou and your boiiis make me want to go back to the blue side 😂
ОтветитьYeah I was an infantryman in Iraq in 04-05. It wasn't nearly as chill. We fought daily. And I mean daily
Ответитьwhat ended up happening to war kitty
ОтветитьKeeping watch on vehicles sucks big time...
ОтветитьAs a marine 1/8 is fun like this. Basically everything is major sucking. Getting next to 0 hours of sleep, horrible food, all of us have atleast 2 gum or other dental problems, we are pretty much poor, we almost die a lot. Dont join the marines unless you want to be like us, badasses who definitely are crayon eaters
ОтветитьEvery deployment should look liked this. Not fucking Container shit liked Kuwait. Living in a tent is better for the team.
ОтветитьDamn that’s 2 yrs ago? You guys got the upgrade! I still got my defective ACH from deployment. They said we could keep em. We got new ones to replace them. They stayed in the box … that’s the army for ya!
ОтветитьOhhh goodness I can still smell the gasoline from the generators lol. And the pretend powder scrambled egg for breakfast classic lol
Ответить
