Pisses me off that i had to buy an ultra fast charger. It's like they jus keep adding extra names on the end of stuff jus cause.

Sustainablity at personal level is better than at corporate level.

I well remember the dark ages, when every phone had it's own charger, incompatible with other makes. Also, I don't want the fastest charging, as it's harder on the battery. I do have a fast charger, but I don't use it. I also have accumulated far more chargers than I need. Incidentally, you can buy chargers in many stores, including grocery stores, so they're not exactly hard to come by. I also charge my tablet with a USB port on my computer, which provides a low charge rate, which is easiest on the battery. As for headphones, I don't care for earbuds, so I bought full size headphones, with a USB C connector. My phone also came with an adapter for the old mini phone plug. I've never used it though, as I don't have full size headphones that will fit it.

The conclusion of this no charger things is money. The company want you spent more for them. Plus they safe production cost right 😂😂😂

Simply put it, you can afford premium. Buy premium. Let's see how pathetic this cycle of life can continue to be.

Now, I am not talking about Xiaomi and Samsung but for Apple more users just fast charge their iPhone on their mac, on a powerbank or wirelessly so....

It's nothing to do with sustainability. It's greed! So once one of them cuts something out of inclusion, the rest will follow suit!

we're still gonna need to get the charger from somewhere else?? like it really dont matter its just robbery. They should instead make very good chargers that last way longer which intern will would lead to less chargers needed to be made

I often use at least 2 phones so I really need multiple chargers. Free chargers were so convenient for that.

When you buy a 1000 Euro phone, it comes with nothing
buy a 200 euro phone, it comes with a charger, earbuds and other accessories.

The problem is not the awareness and conscious of customers but more the size and power of companies and the small choices we have. As long as we "can not" live without phones, we have no leverage to insist on real Environment friendly solutions.

Thing is people don't value free. I have no clue where majority of the free charging bricks I've gotten over my lifetime of phone purchases. But I do know where where my $30 fast charger is (after two years of owning it) .. Though it may only cost the company $4 or $5 to make... That money adds up

100% correct sir, but now they got away with not including the charger, they wont come back on their decision because of the you pay the same price but get less, and like you said, not all chargers are equal, some gadgets need more amperage

Slow charging is better for the battery and also gives me a lot more SOT/actual charge capacitiy. I already have a charger at home. No, chargers do not break regularly, they actually work for decades. If I buy a charger separately, then I actually get a good charger. Charger are universal. You can buy chargers in a shop if you don't want them delivered, you can also just buy your phone in a shop. A headphone jack is not related to chargers, you seriosly wanted to stretch the time here, just don''t buy phones without 3.5mm jacks. The way you buy things made the most impact on the environment. Cardboard trash is the least concerning thing we do to our environment. A phone is not a environmentally friendly device to begin with, don't buy phones if you care for the environment. If you would tell people to subscibe to your channel because this would be eco friendly, then all your subscribers would be idiots obviosly.

That’s what pissed me off. The fact they (apple) said “everyone already has a charger” (USB) and then they changed to USB C!

Something else that wasnt even touched on is the price of everything. They are still charging the same price for the phones but sending less things. Now we have to go out and buy $50-$$$$ headphones, and then another $20 on a 5w charger brick....

If they want to be green: stop encouraging you to change phone every year, and make them last longer... If you buy something new before the "old one" to be replaced you are not being environmentally friendly/green.

Quite late to the party, but dissapointed with this video, and was quite hard to watch..
Sheeple today buy a phone every 1 to 2 years, not 4-6, so even if you buy a charger every 6 years (and To be frank, most of my chargers are of that age or older.. they dont go bad as much as you would think..) you are still 3x less waste at 3x fewer chargers produced.
Same with headphones.. buy it once..

It feels like this video was just made with 1 phone generation in mind.. not the forseeable future.. as soon as you start buying multiple generations of phones, the reductions add up.

Its fair to say that the companies want to save money as much as they want to get green cred.. and it i think is also fair to say that people at that time were probably pissed.. and this video was a cash grab to get views in that period.

The entire "eco/green" movement isnt green at all.

If i'm looking at a device that requires wall charging, and it's "in the box" section doesn't include a charger, I won't buy it. Period. When a company includes a cable and charger, a majority of the time it's something that was tested with the product and a better fit than most 3rd party garbage. So if a company isn't sending a charger with the product, I just see the company being lazy and greedy. I have no desire to support that.

They are just scaming people all new phones should come with a charger

Apple is greedy jerks for not giving us chargers ! I get not including earbuds cuz everyone uses Bluetooth now and they’d be more expensive. But to charge thousands for a phone and not give a wall block is ridiculous! So they’re trying to save on packaging? What about the packaging we get when we have to order a new one ? I stick with Apple because I like the products and I’m used to the operating system, apps , and I love the fact that I don’t get viruses with their products. They got me by the balls 😂. They slow their phones down and make them suck after 2 years . I will start replacing the batteries in my phones from now on. Just upgraded to a 15 pro max and I do like it better than my 13 Pro max in many ways . But now I’m finding out about a bunch of issues. I’ve not had those issues yet . Except the overheating when charging. Sill have my old phone so maybe I’ll take this one back.

Honestly while I agree that manufacturers are the biggest problem here, some of these time scales do scare me. I'm still using the same phone charger I got with my iPhone 5. I look after the products I buy so I can use them as long as possible. If I need to buy a replacement I don't order one, I walk to the store and buy one. While I recognize this is not possible for everybody, your own actions are as much part of the problem as the manufacturers are in some cases.

This video could've easily been 3-4 minutes without losing any content. There's no reason to explain 8 times why ordering products seperately create more packaging material.

I noticed that the charger cables, the one i used at least, breaks eventually at the same point. No matter how easy i go on it and seen it in two of them of the exact same design so far.
There´s no doubt that it was made to become useless after a really short time of usage.

DON'T USE THEM ANYWAY. I USE POWER STRIPS WITH 2.4 AMP PORTS. I THRES MOST OF THEM OUT. THERE ALL JUNK.

Not Amazon, when I had Covid ,I ordered one box of analgesics. I got over the Covid but the analgesics arrived a month later in a huge box. I complained and they offered a $10 discount.

Not including a charger wouldn't be an issue if Apple didn't in someway screw you over by Chip Locking chargers and cables in the US with MFi chips. So glad it's illegal in the EU/UK..
