🙋🏿‍♀️🥰😇I wanted to tell about Turkish seem like Arabic language since barrow many words from it. In fact its in the same language with Korean and Japanese as structure so that’s why people get confused when starting it. Turkish came from central Asia and the word creations similar to Japanese we add suffixes to the end of the words, meanwhile in Arabic they add or remove sth from the middle of word to create other words.

I've looked up Steve Kaufmann after some friends spelled his name as a miraculous solution to language learning. Bad news for the lazy. The key is hard work and persistence. The approach shared by the people like Mr Kaufmann only serves those who spend time memorizing the names of wild animals, thanks to stupid language teaching materials. He just talks the common sense. Simple as that

•short and with transcripts til you understand
•interesting content for you
• key words to use

When I'm watching videos in my target language should i use my native or target language subtitles?

I think the first thing should be learning the alphabet and how to pronounce each letter properly.

With Arabic, it will not work, I have been learning it for the last 14 months from scratch, and the diacritical marks on which it operates are pretty confusing. still appreciated.

I just dont think ill ever be able to learn a language. My learnign disabilties make it even harder, I didnt even have to take the required language classes in school.

Steve, initially is there any value just listening to conversations in the target language?
I am thinking of times when I have to focus on other work activity, but still want to use the time to listen in the other language.
Or asked another way, is there any value listening without simultaneously reading?

Romanian is not a slavic language...thats not an appealing mistake,from a language learning expert😁...but i guess u have some other points🤪

I’ve been learning english for 2 years.
I always watch videos about English and read the video‘s reply I watched.
It has helped me.
reading reply is teaching to me that’s grammar.
It takes 5 or 10 or 20 years for me to speak english fluently. however I‘m gonna keep learning english for my kids.
I’m gonna show my kids what I can do this.

I really envy him no just because he speaks 20 languages but all the culture he acquired by learning them. He understands human race a lot better than any of us and that makes him a great person. Every culture has its pros and cons and we should be able to filter the best of each of them and utilize towards a personal growth.

I know there's nothing to be afraid of and all I need to do is just enjoying the language learning and I think that listening and reading are the key to learning any language that I like.
